Aight, so not long ago someone named Transistor popped up on Azure. Me and Biffster cracked down on this guy, and he lives not too far away from the OP crew. In fact, his bro is our age, and goes to school about 1000 yards or so from my house. So, what does this mean? The newest additions to the Overland Park group. Tomorrow at Biffster's, we will all meet for the first time.

Which means:
-I gotta dust off GS and get everything together, and gotta find my research and development binder.
-Build a TCG deck with all of my crappy 1st edition cards
-Warm up in Smash brothers. Transistor's brother claims to be hella good as Kirby, and as the OP crew knows, I am the ONLY Kirby player. I'm kinda excited, I've never met anyone who can match my skill, Kikered tried a few times but didn't quite make it.
-And finally, you all will probably get a war story or two from us to revive this pud board.

Tomorrow night, abour 9-11 people will clash in various fun games, Pokemon, TCG, Smash, Dead or Alive 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2, etc. As long as these two guys aren't chainsaw murdering stalkers like Fish, we should be ok.

So far I have faced about 50+ people in SSB and I have had a 95% winnage rate. Fun fun fun. I can't wait for melee.

Unfortunately, I have only had the chance to play SSB against another human once, when my friend from VA drove up to visit me. I had only reneted it once, whereas he had imported japanese copy for his birthday 5 months earlier, yet I beat him.

If I'm ever in eastern Kansas for soem reason (which I dobut will happen, but you never know...), I'll have to stop by...

I've only played the N64 one. The only problem is that I practice against computer opponents, with three on a team, usually Link, Samus, and Pikachu, at Dream Land. It helps me get faster, but you get used to predicting the computer, not humans. +_+ Anyways...my friends suck...bad.

Edit: Those are level 9, mind you. They suck too. ^_^

The best way to train with the computer is to set team battles, and put the 3 computers on one team against you. 5 lives or less if you want to put it on stock.

For some reason, Jigglypuff is my best character.

Jigglypuff is for boring ass users who don't want a challenge.

I'm being serious too. I've grown tired of using jiggly. Nothing can compare to headbutt except for possible meteor attacks. Jiggly ownz. Also make sure you turn your handicap to 1 if you want to be l33t. If you want a challenge try and kill using yoshi. I think he is one of the hardest to master. Then try and kill using only the swallow attack for fun (only if you get bored). Of course this one only works on newbies. Discuss.

I think I'm back to using Ness. KM said he used Fox, and while randomly picking some characters, I chose Fox, who I've decided is pretty good. By the way, what's everyone's favourite level? Mine's Fox's...I forget what it's called, anyway, I like it 'cause it's big, and pretty flat. =D

Here's a challenge:

Time Team, 5:00 limit

You can choose your character, and your opponents are three L1 Jigglypuffs

Battle held on Dream Land

No items, 200% damage

Call it "Puff Killing" or "OHKO Mania"; it's simply a test of pure speed kills. Score 1 point for each KO. TKO's don't matter.

The best I've ever done is 103 points. Does anyone care to play this mode to try to see if they can do better?

Actually, I prefer Falcon's fastest-in-the-game Reverse Throws. DK's fastest kill (Quaking Ground Slap) would send the Jigglypuffs into the background, wasting critical time before the next regeneration.

I'm just working through the list with all the characters, using the handicap and 3 vs. 1 thing. I'm using Luigi now, because I just started. It'll be a few months before I'm finished. ^_^

Where is this idea that SSBM will be online coming from? I never heard about that... and don't get your hopes up. Nintendo hasn't declared its plans for an online network, and knowing them, they won't. At least not for SSBM.

I am at least partially on the way to mastering Kirby and Falcon, but I have no one else to play against and would probably be wasted by all of you. Kirby's final cutter is fun when your opponent is standing there on the edge just begging to be KO'd.

They've already promised online for many other GC games, so it would be weird if they didn't for SSBM. Considering all the dough that would rake in, I would be seriously in confusion if they didn't give it some sort of online play. T'would be a shame if they decided not to. Man their is no one worthy in my land.

Lol, prepare yourself Martin for the 23rd. You won't beat me as Kirby! Haha. Haha. Haha. You and your bro are really damn good when it comes to tag team, though, I'll admit. Me and kikerd's bro will beat you down next time. Man I love having all of these great SSB players around. I don't know where you got the idea of Brando = pwnage.

And remember: The 23rd - TJ's 3rd annual 24+ hour b-day gaming extravaganza. Brian needs to haul ass down here. If all goes well, Biffster will have an Xbox, and I'll have a Gamecube, and we should have 4 controllers amongst the all of us, so we'll be in prime shape to play Halo and Waverace(:-P). I've already figured out where I'm putting the second TV down here, and what the configuration of consoles to TV will be. I'll have my high speed computer up for sweet ass Counterstrikin. I've got 2 computers that can play Starcraft against each other. Oh yeah, there's gonna be some serious Advance Wars playing.

The Gauntlet

Any member wishing to join the OP crew must meet certain qualifications. (basically it's a bunch of jargin that says we don't accept complete fooz)

But one requirment that is rather fun is The Gauntlet. This is where you have to fight all of the members of the OP league from the bottom to the top.

Ok, a few things. Since we've sorta done away with the whole OP Pokemon League charter thing (I still have a copy of it), there isn't like a requirement for joining. You two are cool, you're in the gang. And the gauntlet sucks. It ties up a TV for way too long, and trust me, you don't wanna fight 7 pokemon battles in a row. :-P Fish got really bored really fast. But you can if you want, I'll take your challenge.
