Hehe. Well, back about 1 and a half years ago, their was pokemon tournament at a mal about an hour away from my house. so being the pokemon freak I am I went with my Mom and my 2 sisters, both of witch entered the tourney.

this tourney was a little bit different than most, we were divided into 3 groups according to level (i was in the 50-55 group), and then into subgroups of 10. i was matched against a pale faced kid with a smile on his face (and rightly so, you'll see why)

these where my extreme newbie days b/c i my team of 3 was set up to be like ash: charizard, muk and pikachu

The only pokemon that I know he has was an alakazam.

This is how the battle went:
(BTW, this is not exact, this log is from a 1 year old memory, i didn't record it)

he sent out alakazam
i sent out charizard
he attacked first with psychic
ouch!
i used flamethrower
not much damage
he used psychic and KOed my Charizard
i sent out Muk
these is what scared me, he laughed and said "HA! a Muk???"
he snickered as he proceeded to KILL MY MUK WITH 1 PSYCHIC
by this point i knew i didn't stand a chance
i sent out my pikachu
i used quick attack witch brought its HP down to about 2/3 (that's a quick attack and a flamethrower)
he used psychic
i used thunder bolt
he used psychic
pikachu fainted

the match is over, flawless victory

i felt so stupid that i didn't think of an alakazam (one of my favorite pokemon BTW)

after the first battle, their was a second, all the winners got together and battled and all the losers got together and battled

my second battle was against a little kid with levels 46, 23 and 18

I wiped him out easily but it wasn't a fulfilling victory as well you can guess.

BTW, both of my sisters lost both of their battles.

The day wasn't a complete failure though, I got a free lvl 5 mew with a certificate of authenticity. I also got a pokemon poster, I meet a couple dressed up as TR and a big pikachu, I also saw the pikachu VW bug and I played pokemon stadium for the first time.

hehe

Pikachu's Thunderbolt striking before an Alakazam's Psychic?

Those must be some LOW stats...
