Hi people! This is the third day of the Tournament!Sorry for nothing posting anything before, but this is a friend`s computer. So, I can`t spend much time here. DOn`t worry! I`m writting notes about my opponents and about the others players. For now, I`m happy about telling you that I was Friday`s Champion with my Curselax And Saturday`s champion won using a Belly Drumming Snorlax. Today we will have another champion, then both will face the Elite 4. After that, there will be a Champions Tournament, between we three. The winner will earn an original Mew, with certified. Ah, I won a GBA on Friday for being the champion. More news on Tuesday, when I arrive home. One funny thing: Destiny Bond Gastly took out two mewtwos and a Curselax Thanks people! See you on Tuesday.

First DayI arrived at Animecon around 10am, and went right to Conrad Editora stand, where the subscriptions were being held. After filling it up, I saw a guy who seemed to be 18. Since he was playing pokémon, I asked him if he wanted to battle. His name was Jonatan, and we started a little cup battle. My team: Kabuto, Elekid, Abra, Eevee, Chikorita, ??? (can't remeber which one I used) His team: Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Jigglypuff, ???, ??? (can't remember too :P), all were shiny. It was not a hard battle, but was cool! One funny thing: he forgot that Dragon Rage deals fixed damage. I would be screwed up!. Around 2pm they started to give numbers for the players, and also ban illegal players. Around 100 players had subscribed, but 5 were banned. I got number 93 (waited a lot :P) and then sat down, waiting for the battle keys (don't know if this name is right in english). While that, a boy came to me and asked my number. He showed me his number 2, and suggested a battle, since our numbers didn't seem to combine in a battle key. We started battling according to the tournament rules. He sent out Porygon2 and my Gastly went out. I tried Destiny Bond, but didn`t work and it fainted. So I brought out my Curselax lv90. He kept attacking with Ice Beam & Psychic, and around 3 Curses later I Rested + mint berry. Quickly I defeated him this way (he had also a Snorlax with Mega Kick) and we talked about moves and TMs. We became pals this way (his name's Ricardo), and walked around to face anothers trainers. I saw a girl playing near a wall, so I asked her if she wanted to battle. She agreed (her numbers was 01) and we started. She had Heracross, Miltank and (I think) Pidgey. Hera was standard, and Miltank had Attract & Swagger. While we were battling, the organization called all the trainers to announce the Battle Keys. So, we had to turn off our GB. Surprise! Battle Key 1 held numbers 1-20 and 75-94, what means that the matched battle followed the sequence 01 vs 94, 02 vs 93... see? Ricardo became worried, but I told him to calm down. It would be just a battle! The battle started! Ricardo knew what I was going to do, but couldn't do nothing to counter my Snorlax. I noticed that low level pokémon were the way to pump up Curselax, and Gastly should've been used only against high level pokémon. Some players were using low level only against low levels. Second battle: Ricardo was upset, but stayed to see this battle. My opponent arrived as soon as he heard his number, and we started. He sent out his Pikachu (!) lv 98 and there went my Gastly. Thunder worked. Sent out Snorlax and started cursing. He used Surf, and I asked him how he got it. He mumbled something and continued to battle. I Earthquaked his Pikachu and he sent out a Spearow. Body Slam (sorry, my lax don`t love me :P) and he sent out a Scizor. Fireblat (!!!) and Earthquake. Beat Up (!!!!!) and Earthquake. Extreme Speed & EQ. He lost and I started bragging about his sharked pokémon. So, he runned away from the tournament. Third Battle: This one was my BK's last battle, and my opponent came to me. His name was Ivan. Mewtwo vs Gastly, and Destiny Bond came first! I shouted "Gaslty lv5 kills Mewtwo lv100". People started to ask how, and I told them. One staff member said "He is good!" and I continued battling. (thanks again Azurians). Curselax took out Snorlax & Spearow quickly after 3 Curses. Fourth Battle: Since my BK was finished, I was sent to another one. There I was told to battle Fernando. Hoot Hoot & Gastly, Snorlax & flying Hoot Hoot, Curse, Curse, Curse beating the bird, Snorlax and Tyranitar. Ah, I rememered a funny thing! Almost all the times my Curselax was Body Slammed, he became paralized. Fifth Battle: When my opponent's number was announced, Fernando told me that it was his friend numbers. So I realized that there were some groups of friends in the tournament: two from Săo Paulo and one from Internet (err.. I mean.. who know each other from the net). Marco came and we started battle, but he was complaining about his bad team (like Fernando did too!). I told him that I already won 50% of the battle if he would'd not changed his mind.(argh, sure this is supposed to be grammatically wrong...). No big worries. His team was Spearow, Lugia & Tyranitar. Curselax took down Tyranitar & Spearow, but Aeroblast forced me to use Rest two times. Curse then helped to KO it down. When this battle finished, I was told that the staff people was the Elite Four itself! The 12 years old girl who was organizing my BK asked me to do great battles representing her BK, because I was already in the Semi Finals. Semi Final: Surprisingly I met Jonatan here! He became nervous when saw me. I congratulated him and talked a little before the battle, since the staff (or E4) was supposed to tell us when to battle. Both of us wished good luck and the "pancadaria" started. 6 on 6, 400 lvs total. I sent my Koffing first against his mewtwo, but didn't work (since it had other item than Quick Claw). KO'd out and Gastly came in! IT WORKED AGAIN!! Jonatan cursed the game and sent Rattata out, while I've sent Curselax. A serie of Lugia, Ho Oh and Snorlax tried to take him down, but I used to Rest in the right time. Lugia had Psychic, Surf, Recover & Aeroblast. Ho Oh had Earthquake, Sacred Fire, Recover (didn't see the last move). Snorlax has only used Fissure, but didn't work and Curselax BS'd it. The last poké were Rattata & Geodude (think)but offered no resistance. This was I went to the Final Battle. Final Battle: Since my last battle was fast, I had to wait for my opponent. While that, the Elite Champion started to talk with me about the next battles, against E4 and him himself. He liked the way I was batling(remembered Azurian Gastly and was really hoping that I would be that day's champion. I chat more with E4 people and discovered that all them have Max Stat pokémon (what they call "Top"). Also each one of can use one legendary, and the Champion can use all of them. At last my opponent came from the other Semi Final. Thiago: Lapras, Gengar, Umbreon, Snorlax, Ho Oh, Lugia. Me: Koffing, Gastly, Snorlax, Machamp, Tyranitar, Lugia. He started with a Curse Passing Umbreon, while I DB him with Koffing. I also used Toxic on it, and then came from BP Snorlax. He blasted Koffing away and I brought out Gaslty. IT WORKED AGAIN ) Gengar appeared and I sent Curselax. I Earthquaked but he DB me. :..( Umbreon came out with Machamp. Since his pokémon were around lv 50-60, 'Champ didn't have much problem. The battle ended and I became Champion of Friday. Another thing! The final battle was going to be held on a Wall Screen, but someone had forgotten one N64 joystick >_< The prize, like I said earlier in this post, was a GBA. I got my Indigo and they said that the Elite Four challenge was going to be on Saturday due to the someone's lack of memory :P (can't play withou a controller, right). Oh! I'm tired and hungry by now. Later I write about Saturday, Sunday and the Elite Four Challenge.

Sorry for not posting it before. I had time to do it only tonight. Here we go! Second Day When I arrived at Animecon, Ricardo met me and we chated for a moment. Then he challenged me for a fight, lv 100. I accepted and thought about using my old Blue team. That was a 5-5 battle, so: Ricardo: Kangaskhan x2, Mew, Snorlax, Lugia or Dragonite (can't remember exactly). Me: Venusaur, Rapidash, Golem, Lapras, Exeggcutor I do know these Kangaskhan were Missingo, but no complains... he said that he like Kangaskhans a lot! : ) Since my old team were used to combos like Toxic + Fire Spin, they perished easily. Deep in my mind I couldn't afford to lose to him, so I asked about a GS lv 100 battle. He said that was his only lv 100 team. So we started... Me: Forrestress, Shuckle, Snorlax, Machamp, Tyranitar Thus I won By then, the staff was already recruiting the players. That afternoon the battles were held inside a classroom (Animecon was happening inside a university). It was crowded with trainers, so I stayed outside. There were some moms there too, and we started chating about the tourney. It was funny because they were worried with their little children battling against old guys (like me . I calmed them down telling that Pokémon is a well balanced game, and everyone inside the room had chance to win (I shall die for lying!) Unexpectedly I saw Thiago coming out of the classroom. That only meant one thing: he was out in the earlier first stage. He was very upset, telling that a Horn Driller Lapras killed his Curselax. Funny ^^ As time flew, I was invited to stay inside the room. It was very cool because the staff (E4 itself) was excited with the battles. Walking around I saw a lot of Mewtwo & Snorlax, what assured their domination. While that I also saw the most beautiful GBA ever - Pokémon Center Version. An E4 member had been in Japan and had bought one. It is purple with some special silver glitter on it (like G/S/C carts). The Semi Finals came, but I didn't see them. 2 guys out and we had the finalists! Unlike my final battle, this one was a Pkmn Stadium 2 struggle! They were using a big screen with N64 (one composed by 4 wide screens), but it seemed to not accept low resolutions. It was not able to refresh the battle scenes, so the staff turned it off and got a 14" television. Just imagine that...around 30 people watching the final battle on a tiny television. 6-6, same team used in the earlier stages. Daniel vs Bruno -Zapdos, Lapras, Snorlax, Rattata, Spearow, Mewtwo -Umbreon, Mewtwo, Pidgey, (can't remember) Shiny Spearow started against Umbreon. IIRC, Bruno sweept Daniel's team easily but Snorlax. So, Lapras used Perish Song against Mewtwo and was KO'd. Snorlax came in and Mewtwo used Recover. Snorlax used Belly Drum and Mewtwo used Psychic. Everyone was hoping Mewtwo would've killed Snorlax this turn, but the fat boy survived Mewtwo's Psychic and was able to use Rest Berry. Mewtwo felt to Perish Song. One after one, Snorlax defeated all others pokémon. This way, Daniel was Satuday's champion. With all the screen trouble, it was decided to delay the E4 challenge for Sunday. The best thing about it is that I earned a ticket to enter Animecon for free in the last day. Daniel also earned one. I'm tired by now... later I write about Sunday

Here I am bringing to you what happened on Sunday 14th!Just when I arrived there on Sunday's morning, I met Daniel leveling up his Lapras for the E4 Challenge. So I remembered that I still haven't had some Mistery Gift items, like Scope Lens & Lucky Egg. I invited Daniel to walk around a little doing MG. No need to say that I got some mails and berries... Later, the staff announced they had opened the subscription. I went there to meet some players from the others day. It was funny because some kids were always asking if I really was Friday's champion (I also noticed that Daniel was through the same situation). Suddenly a guy challenged me, telling that he wanted to test his team (test?!). I also needed to see if my SpikeStorm team was ok, so I accepted it. His team: Ho Oh, Heracross, Snorlax, Mewtwo, Tauros, Feraligator I think he never ever battled against a SpikeStorm, because he switched a lot. Ah, and remember what I've said about M2 & Snorlax? Later I met others players talking about training, so I joined them. It was interesting because it is hard to see people who likes pokémon here in my city. The tournament started around 3pm. Outside the room I saw some boys trading pokémon. When asked which ones they were trading, "Shinies" was the word. This way I knew about the Shiny Mafia: once you get a shiny, just clone it and trade for another one. One of these boys already had 24 different shinies. I really wouldn't like to see my gray tentacool going into this kind of business. I walked down to the tournament room and met some staff people. Again, I saw a lot of good players going out, like Thiago. So, the Elite champion told me that a lot of kids were using Curselax after they'd seen mine. I met Daniel again and we went outside again. A friend of mine was there, and I remembered that both of us had GBA and he had just received Mario Kart SC as a Children's Day gift (it happens on Oct 12th here). Since I have the GBA link cable, we played single pack for a moment. While that a boy came out crying out loud, saying "but I found it in the grass!". What happened? He was banned because he was using a very special lv2 pokémon: Lugia. The Semi Finals were set! But staff had a problem before that. One of the semi finalists used a 202 lvs team, when the limit in the first stage was 200. He was banned too, and another guy went up as semi finalist. When I noticed, Jonatan was between them! It was very cool, because I was really hoping he would become the champion. The battles happened and the finalist were invited to play the last combat on N64. Jonatan was one of them. His GBA dream was getting closer. Then I asked the other guy if I would see his team. He allowed me, and I was surprised how he reached the Final Battle. His team had good pokémon, but the attacks were too inaccurated. Well, I gave his GB back and sat down to watch the fight. As I predicted, Jonatan didn't have problems, easily setting his Drumlax up. Double Edge ruled the battle and he became the champion of Sunday. Since both champions were there (Jonatan, Daniel and me), they started to take pictures for POkémon Club Evolution magazine. The boys who were watching the battles clapped a lot. They said that all about the tournament will be on the magazine around December: in the first week there will be a special with champion's teams & strategies, and in the third week they will show up E4's teams & strategies. Enough party! It was time to battle the Elite Four itself! So, the staff members presented themselves as E4, like the GB's E4. They are minor tournament champions or magazine staff members, what made me expect the best from them. Cláudia: RBY Mall tournaments champion. She was dressed like a Team Rocket member, and she is around 12 years old. Eric Araki: PCE Magazine Editor. He was dressed like a captain, and is 18 years old. Juliana: PCE Magazine Contributor, she was dressed with a light blue dress and a white robe (like Clair) and I think she is 12. Kazumi: GSC Mall tournament champion. He was dressing a brown overcoat and black clothes. I think he is 17-18. Robson: GSC & TCG Champion. Elite Champion and Kazumi's friend. He is a blonde fat boy, about 6 ft tall. He was using a light brown overcoat and is 17-18. So, since I was the champion of Friday, I started battling them. It was under the Anything Goes PS2 rules. That was the time to use SpikeStorm at full power! SpikeStorm: Forrestress, Shuckle, Tyranitar, Machamp, Lugia, Snorlax. Cláudia's Team: Politoed, Misdreavus, Meganium, Blastoise, Snorlax, Ho Oh. She started with Perish Songer Politoed and I set up Spikes and Sandstorm. She changed to Snorlax just when I exploded, taking her Snorlax. Shuckle went against Meganium, and I poisoned it. She tried to set Sunny Day + Solar Beam, but my Sandstorm blocked it. Ho Oh came in and I poisoned it too. Geez... now I realized that I was the only person to use Shuckle in the tournament!! )) My Tyranitar came in and took Earthquake. Rock Slide KOd Ho Oh and Blastoise came. I switched to Machamp. Blastoise fainted & Misdreavus came. I forgot Dark is strong against Ghost and sent out Shuckle. Again Toxic + Sandstorm took down Mis and therefore Meganium. Politoed came and I blasted it away with Machamp. First win!! Then someone from Animecon's staff told that our time was ending and they needed to close the building!! This made us set fights 3-3, what screwed up my team. Next was Eric Araki! Eric: Wobbufet, Snorlax, Raichu Mine: Snorlax, Machamp, Lugia Snorlax vs Wobbuffet! Curse and Counter, Curse and Counter, Curse and Destiny Bond... goes goes goes, Body Slam left Wobby with 30hp and it did Counter. Eric was so happy that he jumped over the controller cable, taking it of the 64. We needed to start again. Curse, Counter,..., Body Slam, Destiny Bond, 24 hp left. So I made a mistake and... Destiny Bond & Body Slam. Two out. Snorlax & Lugia. Switched to Machamp, Belly Drum. Cross Chop missed. Rest, Cross Chop missed. Cross Chop missed and Machamp out! Lugia came and a Aeroblast. IIRC, critical hit. Rest & Aeroblast. Mystery berry took effect and I did Aeroblat until it woke up and KO my bird. So, I lost (should've chosen Tyranitar). I liked the battle, but was upset I didn't pay attention when Daniel fought Cláudia, but in the end... Lapras vs Misdreavus. Surf & Curse, Surf and Mis out. Politoed vs Lapras. Lapras tried to take Politoed down, but Curse screwed it!! This way Daniel lost to Cláudia. The time was finished. Jonatan lives in Săo Paulo, so he left to face them in the next weekend ( Oct 21th). He wrote an e-mail telling that he won the first and second battle, but lost to Kazumi. Due this, he won an official Mew and the certified. There are also some details, but I need to go now. It was very cool, and they are thinking about starting a national wide League.

Congrats and getting as far as you did, that is total bullsh!t how they made you do 3 vs. 3 battle because they had to close the building ~_~, they should take those type of things into consideration when doing tourneys. You would have won.

I was going to say, hey, it's not fair, we (the USA) never got a tour!
Then I realized that the shitty Six Flags Thing was "supposed" to be our tour... that was fucked up man, I mean, it would have been ok if they actually went to ALL of the Six Flags, but, they didn't go to the one in Arlington, and even if they did, that's STILL far away from me, but, better than Houston :anger: :rage:
