Nintendo aren't exactly gonna pull out the stops to set up another championship when they've got the GameCube to be apromotin' of.

If Pokémon Advance/Cubed is phenomenally successful, then keep your fingers crossed.

I don't think it was an auto-reply. One, an auto-reply wouldn't sound as stupid and two, it would have better grammer (Mr. Scott needs to relearn his punctuation rules when dealing with quotations). Still your letter was obviously passed around until Mr. Scott got stuck with it. I doubt anyone with customer reply clearance would not be able to at least research to see what the Pokemon World Championships was in the first place. Well I guess this should just conclude that Nintendo will do what it does and for the rest of this year that includes no Pokemon events.

Considering the events going on these days I don't think a bomb threat would be the smartest way to go. I'm sure Nintendo would be even more negative to such threats than normal.

Hmm...maybe a different kind of threat could work. How does everyone feel about boycoting all Nintendo products until a Pokemon event comes about?

We gotta be careful though. Nintendo will say, we HAD a tour, Six Flags remember?

We have to make sure to state we want a well done tour that goes from Mall to Mall and visits MANY cities (Especially Plano)...

Well to be fair to Nintendo the Six Flags tour visited more cities than the 2000 World Championships did. But I understand what you're saying.

There's also another multi-national sport gathering coming up next year in Japan and South Korea: The World Cup of (European) Football. Does anyone else smell an opportunity?

I agree they need a tour, but this time I want one that comes somewhere near the midwest. I can't get my parents to drive 2-3 states away for Pokemon.

Not going to happen. There might be a Pokemon event in Japan but Japanese game paks and our game paks can’t work together and there is no way Nintendo would put us over their own country. Granted Nintendo could develop a bridge for English and Japanese game paks but that would require effort. I did think that the World Championships (no offense to the wonderful trainers who made it) wasn’t quite a world tournament because the biggest Pokemon country of all, Japan, was excluded. If Nintendo didn’t bridge the game pak gap for the 2000 Olympics I wouldn’t expecting anything for a soccer match.

Again, not going to happen. If anything Nintendo will be plugging their new GameCube which comes out. Besides, no one really watches anything at the Winter Games except maybe the skaters with great legs and short (or non-existent) skirts.
