Today is the day I finally decided that the petition is going to get as many signatures, so I sent it to NoA. quote: Subj: Pokemon National/World Championships 2001/2002? Date: Sun, 19 Aug 2001 10:23:32 PM Eastern Daylight Time From: NickWhiz1 To: nintendo@noa.nintendo.com I'm sure you guys remember me. I have sent many e-mails to you addressing last year's Pokemon national championships, and how it was, umm, not very good.Over the past couple months, I have assembled a petition of Pokemon fans asking for a national tournament of higher quality than the last one. This petition includes some big names from the online Pokemon community and at least two of the four finalists from last year's tourney, including Ian Garvey, the champion. The petition can be found at http://www.petitiononline.com/nickwhiz/petition.html. This is just a small sampling of the Pokemon players that would like a national tournament. We hope that someday you will give us one that most of us can actually compete in. You have even discovered yourself that Pokemon is not dying out, and is as popular as ever, considering the sales of Gold, Silver, and the recently released Crystal. That makes a lot of people that would love to face each other in official competition and prove how well they can play the game. The TCG players get multiple tournaments a year, and we are left in the dark. All we want is one, well-planned, large-scale national tournament, similar to Wizards of the Coast's Super Trainer Showdown or the UK national championships. As always, please forward this to the appropriate people. Thank you for your time.
Perhaps I should've gotten someone else to send it. ET offered to send it directly to a Nintendo rep, but I decided not to, because, honestly, I don't trust him ~_^

Nice petition. Someday, NOA may think "Hey, this is a good idea! Let's ignore it!"
