When you play against other people, do you switch a lot?

I remember my one and only "serious" fight I had against another guy. All we did was switch, switch and switch. I took out Articuno. He took out Zapdos. I took out Mewtwo. Etc. etc.

All that switching seems to ruin whatever strategies you had in mind.

Is switching commn? Or did we switch so much because we were newbies? (It was before I discovered AH)

Switching battles are annoying, and time consuming.
You have to think ahead. You switch out to get the advantage. You'll know they'll switch so you think what type they'd switch to and switch again to try and get the advantage. They take ages, and I prefr normal battles.....

I switch a lot...

If my opponent didnt switch much, either:
a) I'm getting my butt whupped hard
b) he's an idiot and I have easy kills

Switching is essential. That's why there are so many types. If you're smart enough, you'll trap your opponents and gradually wear them down.

Switching could be your life saver if you can predict it.

I don't switch much, but my guys are generally of neutral types.
