I don't think my Ledyba's gonna fare very well if it's any time soon...

1. There are still people who play R/B/Y and are loving it (I now play G/S by the way)

2. More people have R/B/Y than G/S

3. There hasn't been enough time for people to get teams and everything setup. I had just finished constructing a R/B/Y team when G/S came rolling along!

Maybe in a year or a year and a half, a G/S tour will appear, and I'll be there with my awesome (not quite determined as of yet) team.

I know, really. Kingler just sucks without Amnesia. He's unusable! But the thing is, if it has Amnesia, it can't use the cool Crabhammer attack. (Doesn't Crabhammer sound like a wicked cool wrestling move? I bet there are psycho women out there that use Crabhammer on there boyfriends! j/k)

I probably wouldn't make it a moveset staple in combination with Amnesia, though.

If they had a chromatic tour, they would almost assuredly have to allow people to keep bred moves, or warn them of this ahead of time.

Though the popular pokémon media hasn't really gone into the ability to get unnatural moves on existing monsters... but if you went there with Amnesia on a Kingler and detailed the breeding chain used to achieve it, they would probably be ok with it, even if they hadn't heard of it before.

If they do a tour to launch with Metallic Stadium, it will probably be a metallic tournament, in all honesty. It all depends on how many consoles they get going: metallic stadium will almost assuredly be able to read chromatic carts, so you would be able to play if you brought your chromatic cart (the fact that metallic rules and monsters totally change the game play wouldn't be important to 80% of players). If they don't bring very many, they may actually have a chromatic section.

Or they'll just wait until they can expect everyone to have a metallic team.

Or maybe they'll just give up on it.

I hope they don't do that, though.

How would a top-notch RBY team do vs. a G/S team, anyway?

Not very well if they used Pokémon like Exeggugtor/Alakazam who have been totally statistically raped in Special Defense. Furthermore, any usage of "Amnesia" to powerup Special Attack would be pretty pointless since it powers up Special Defense. With that said, current Snorlax/Slowbro movesets become fairly useless. Along the lines of Defensive playing, Double Team isn't as powerful with the addition of multiple Hazers. Ground-types are pretty worthless since every Electric-type carries Hidden Power Ice, which can devastate them in two turns. The only remaining Ground-types that appear to be useful are Marowak/Steelix.

More or less, standard R/B/Y teams are extremely weak in G/S. I would rather play an entirely standard G/S team then attempt to use my R/B/Y team in a G/S tournement.

MiniJoe traded over his R/B/Y team (due to lack of training :mad to fight me. It really didn't do so hot. I think I won 5-0.

I'll say this: if your team relied on something that was soooo gooood in the chromatics that it had to go, it'll suck in the metallics. If you tried to play honestly and fairly, then your team is still going to be about the same.

My chromatic team wouldn't stand a prayer's chance in metallic land. Evil monsters undermining my psychics, and Amnesia not being broke as fuck...

Well, Lee might actually stand half a chance due to the downfall of Psychics and the proliferation of Darks, and because his Spec. Def is now higher than Mewtwo's (heh).

Maybe the carze is just dying down with the younger folk and Nintendo wouldnt wanna waste the money with little coming in...

yea...you can't go to a store w/o seeing tons of Pokémon crap on the clearance racks. Pokémon cards for 99c? Must be getting very old very fast...
