I have been on this about a few hours now, and one thing that seems to come up is the lack of Pokemon knowledge shown by the Nintendo Reps.
I dont know many of them, I only have heard of the ones on the East tour, (the tour I participated in) and from what I have heard, Kurt, Jeff and Cazz are pretty good.
Amazingly enough, I have heard those same names come up from people on the West Coast tour as well, so they must know what they are doing.
What do any of you have to say. I have had a little battle experience with a few of them, if you want me to answer any questions.
Give me a little input.

Yea, in all I hear, the East Coast Reps are the best. I don't really know anymore who really is, they all just talk a lot. IMO, I think the best trainers out there are Azurian. I'm proud to say I'm Azurian, a defining class of kick ass trainers. I mean, everytime I talk to a rep, they talk smack to us and each other. Where's the unity?

"Cazz sucks, I'm better."
"Brandon never defeated me."
"Heh, you think Brandon's good? I'm alot better than him."
"Cazz is nothing."

That's all I hear. Haha! I just have to play them to find out. But now, this dude Fish has beaten the Reps whom I thought were the best. CAZZ and Kurt. Hmmm....

Azurians all the way.

Wuh? Fish beat Cazz?
Amazing!
*Reads carefully*
Oh, only heard he was good.

Well Cazz is supposed to be Nintendo's best rep. The East coasters use their own Pokemon.

West coasters use what beats them. They have Mew, Mewtwo, Exeggutor and Slowbro which they have received from tour attendees who beat them. I like to call the West coasters chumps. They dont take the game serious enough.

I'm glad I live on the East Coast...the WC reps sound lazy and cheap as hell (hey so am I but at least I catch my own monsters...)

I saw one of the Nintendo reps at the St. Louis stop this weekend beat some kid's Mewtwo with two hits from Sandslash. I was a little surprised, and some older spectators in the crowd snickered. I didn't bother with the stupidity needed to get them to fight me ("I want you to sing a song! Wait--not the Jigglypuff song!").

The female Master Trainer present seemed nice, though. She talked with the kids she battled and told them the mistakes they made when battling her.

From what I've heard, Kris is training a new team of his own, only using a few of ours (Myuutsu and Toby, possibly Benedict).

Out of curiosity, who decides who's an "azurian" or not? Is "azurian" used in that context just used for "a person who goes to azure" or "a person who kicks ass"?

If the latter, I'm not asking to try to get you to call me an "azurian". While I do consider myself a good player (even if that sounds a little pompous), but I am by no means an elite in the pokemon society.

But I've GOT to be the youngest person ever to beat Kris in Prime Cup...^^;;;;

i dont think cazz is that good, kurt says he just uses his pokemon to fight, as for the rest of them here on the east coast they look like they are machines doing the same thing over and over again.

Hey guys... a few corrections/retractions on the part of us Nintendo reps. I'm Kurt and yes, Fish did take me 3 out of 5 in Detroit a while back.

Some things that aren't quite right though--Cazz isn't as bad as I say he is, but aside from that I won't sing his praises. We're friends and I like to take some wind out of his sails since he won't battle anymore being an assistant manager on the tour.

Anyway, I was the one who took a Mewtwo with Sandslash in St. Louis. It was a slowbro paralyzes it--he switches to jolteon--I switch to sandslash--swords dance twice and end it with earthquake deal.

As to singing in the stadium, Jason (does demos, not usually real card battles) takes them when he gets bored. I usually tell people the only way I'll fight them for singing is if they'll do the first two verses + chorus from don't say you love me by m2m. I figure that you've really got to want to battle to do that.

As for the west coasters, they suck, it's true. And then, of course, as for unity, why should we have any? All's fair in love and pokemon. Seriously though, we're all more or less friends and we like to kid around.

Again, I think it's apparent that none of us are invincible, but in our defense it's a sort of us-against-everyone-else situation where people have weeks to prepare specifically for our teams. Makes things a little harder.

I didn't mean to seem insulting by making fun of your methods of selecting competitors. I just thought they were silly . . . and scary . . . and, come to think of it, Pokemon are from the devil, yes, my super-ultra-happy-delicious-holy religious channel said so (!), and therefore Nintendo representitives are from the devil and must be burned until their carbon-based tissues are nothing but carbon. Yes.

Wait a second . . . that didn't come out right.

From the devil? Right, I guess that's why we swore an oath of allegiance to satan when we were hired.

Ouch, I guess I understand what you mean. But, in our defense, it's a ton of fun riding on the freight train of Rep Bashing. I mean, we are the hardcore players, and most of us can't travel the US to play the best. Then we got you guys, who are like the symbols of the big dawgs in Pokemon. You guys get payed to travel from city to city to take us on. And, I can absolutely understand why you guys can get beat. One of my greatest thrills in this game is developing counters, and if somebody uses Pokemon over and over again, there's gonna be a counter for them.

And again, nuff said. But to the point of cockiness, when you cross the line and have already seen our loss, that's already too far. It's all good in fun and games, but some of ya'll actually mean it. And, I think it's awesome that some of you guys take it seriously and really get into it, but when you get the kind of service that 10K got, it just sucks. Making it fun for the fans, is where it should be.

And, I really am thankful that you guys kickass, because if ya'll sucked, there wouldn't be much of a point for me to go to these things. It all adds into the fun, baby.

Well, some parents are mighty impressionable. They just see something on television and believe it's the truth. You wouldn't BELIEVE the wierdness emenating from my friend's mother when she found out I play the Gameboy game. She even made me come to church with them.

I went to the Bristol tour on the 9th of April. My friend branners got through to fight the nintendo rep. He asked branners what pokemon he was using. Branners said Exeggutor (it was one on one). Nitendo rep 1 was about to use Electabuzz but a guy behind him who we will name nintendo rep 2 told him to use Raichu. Raichu? What a complete and utter idiot. Pokemon masters indeed. Mind you this wasn't dave. Who did fight dave by the way? I'd love to hear about their experience!
