This is a team I had a while ago on Crystal (and got me quite a reputation):

Azumarill(F)@Mystic Water
-Ice Punch
-Surf
-Strength
-Rollout
I take advantage of Azumarill's high Def and Spc Def for powerful attacks. Ice Punch beats those Grasses and Dragons. Surf is my basic "anti-Fire/Rock/Ground" attack. Strength is for sudden death. Rollout's for Flyers who get in her way.

Arcanine(F)@Charcoal
-Flamethrower
-Extreme Speed
-Dragonbreath
-Attract
My trump card for sticky situations. Flamethrower's my basic "anti-Ice/Grass/Bug" attack. Extreme Speed is for sudden death. Dragonbreath is for Dragons and anyone else who deserves a good paralyzing. Attract is for "the guys".

Raichu(F)@Magnet
-Thunder
-Dizzy Punch
-Thunder Wave
-Rain Dance
She's basically Sonic the Hedgehog with a lot of voltage. Rain Dance/Thunder combo for Waters/Flyers. Thunder Wave is for those who think they're faster than Raichu. Dizzy Punch, her Odd Egg trademark, is for sudden death. (I couldn't get Surf due to emulation.)

Butterfree(F)@Sharp Beak
-Psychic
-Gust
-Flash
-Sleep Powder
Butterfree is kinda handy often. Psychic is for Poisons and Fighting (kinda smart of me to take Butterfree's 4x defense against fighters), Gust is for the low Def. fighters and pure-Grasses (the only STAB she gets). Flash is a last resort in order to ruin the lives of Thunder/Fire Blast/Blizzard/other low Acc moves. Sleep powder...well, you know the story.

Farfetch'd(M)@King's Rock
-Fly
-Cut
-Slash
-False Swipe
Okay. I admit it. I was lazy. Fly's for Grass and Fighting (attacks missing on the first turn is a plus for me). Cut is for sudden death. Slash is to knock my opponents' socks off. False Swipe is for...well, pretty much sudden death (clean up with Cut afterwards) and catching the extra Pokemon.

Persian(M)@Amulet Coin
-Shadow Ball
-Slash
-Icy Wind
-Pay Day
Yes, I kept Pay Day. I love the move (especially since Amulet Coin doubles the money I get!). Shadow Ball is for those pesky ghosts. Icy Wind's the standard Ground/Flying/Dragon/Grass death attack. As for Slash, see Fetchy.

Pokemon training isn't about power, fame, or popularity. It's about finding a Pokemon and being able to put up with it 10 minutes at a time.

You rated my team, now I shall rate yours.
Azumarill
If you're using Rollout (which, IMO you don't need, since she has Ice Punch and Surf for the Fires and Flyers) dump Strength for Defense Curl. Although I'd just scrap both and go for something like Attract and Charm for the annoyance factor, or Attract and Rest for recovery. And maybe put Icy Wind over Ice Punch, the slowdown on your foe can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Arcanine
Sunny Day would be better than Dragonbreath, IMO. But then, it's just my opinion. Whatever.

Raichu
No. No, no, no. Without Surf, the RD combo is REALLY not worth the time. Thunderbolt/Mud Slap/Dizzy Punch or Sweet Kiss/Thunderwave is one of my favorite sets. Really annoying.

Butterfree
Stun Spore over Gust. Gust isn't strong enough to keep, and most Grass-types are split to Poison anyhow, so Psychic deals with 'em. And if you run into a Jumpluff... isn't that what Arcanine is for?

Farfetch'd
Good Pokemon, sucky moves. Dump False Swipe for Swords Dance, Cut for Return or Body Slam, keep Fly for a Flying move (or drop it for Wing Attack/Drill Peck if he learns either one), and maybe drop Slash for Agility.

Persian
Good, but drop Pay Day for... something... and Slash for Return.
As for the items:
Butterfree should have Twistedspoon or maybe a Quick Claw.
Arcanine would do well with Pink/Polkadot Bow
Azumarill could use Mint Berry, if you give her Rest.
Persian might be better with Brightpowder (or Paralyze cure berry, if you don't have Brightpowder).
Farfetch'd is fine with his King's Rock.
And give Raichu a Miracleberry (I'm thinking item clause here)
Overall, nice effort, fine use of underuseds. I'm impressed.

Well, honestly your team isn't very good. You've got a lot of weak moves that could be replaced with better ones very easily. For example, both cut and strength should be replaced with return/frustration which can deal damage with a base of 102 at full happiness or minimium happiness respectively. Cut has a base power of only 50.

Aside from a few status changes your team seems to be all out attack. Take advantage of stat uppers like Curse and more strategic moves like Perish Song. I'm not going to recommend a long list of standards though, because it really is more fun to play with the ones you like. Just look into some better movesets for them.

I was afraid I was gonna get one of these.

AZUMARILL: RETURN or DEFENSE CURL over STRENGTH.

ARCANINE: Nice set.

RAICHU: You may consider substituting THUNDER WAVE for REFLECT, since THUNDER has a considerably high rate of paralysis (about 30%). I'm not very fond of DIZZY PUNCH, SURF would be better in its place.

BUTTERFREE: HIDDEN POWER (F/) over GUST if possible. The rest is okay, although FLASH has crappy Accuracy.

FARFETCH'D: Didn't like it. :\

PERSIAN: SLASH doesn't CH like mad anymore. :\

To be a little more helpful I'll analyze one of the Pokes on your team and I'll point you to Spunman's page which contains a lot of valuable information. There are a couple others like Meowth346's that are really useful too.

Let's look at Arcanine:

Flamethrower is a good choice: nice power + STAB.
Attract is a pretty good move as long as Arcy is a female. Most people tend to use more males than females.

However because it's a female it has a very low Att DV, so it's best not to rely on attack based moves like Extreme Speed. Assuming you bred it again for a higher attack it may be able to use this attack better, but lose some effectiveness with Attract.

Dragonbreath isn't such a great move to choose. First off, dragon type moves are only effective against dragon, which means Kingdra or Dragonite. Both of these tend to pack Surf so you're Arcanine is likely to be taken long down before it can do serious damage with a 60 power attack without STAB. You would be able to do more damage with Flamethrower.

The one thing your Arcy does have going for it right now is the chance to setup paralysis and attraction, which will make it difficult for the enemy to attack. However, you could also do this with Body Slam on a male (but there are less females to attract). Some moves to take into consideration would be Safeguard, Reflect, and Curse.

Anyway, you can find Spunman's page at: http://www.myplanet.net/weaselgrip/spunman/front/
