i have been killing time making all Shiny teams. After 70 Shiny Ditto eggs, I hatched two Shiny Eevees. The first I mde into a Baton Pass Umbreon. Eventually I will add Mean Look, Toxic, and Moonlight to it. The BP would be to Wobbuffet or Clefable (both of which I bred Shiny versions of) That should be fun.
But I'm at a loss as to what to do with the other Shiny Eevee. I understand Substitite plus BP is a strong combo, but I don't get how it works. I would rather the second Shiny Eevee become a Jolteon or an Espeon but I'm up for any ideas...
Please?

Duplication code maybe?
And the user who makes the BP passes along the same sub. Example: giving a Jolteon Umbreon's sub (318, 358 defenses).
As for the Poke, i'd use Flareon. Being the most kickass Eeveelution in existence, it makes great use of the sub passed and its enormous attack power.

I'm under the impression that the only stat passed from the sub-user is the HP. Special and defense are determined by the receiver's stats.
If this is the case (and I'm fairly sure it is) you'd want to pass subs from Vaporeon. Umby isn't too bad, but Vaporeon has the highest HP of the Eevee line.

kiseiju's got it. i prefer the mean look/double team/substitute/baton pass umbreon to a curselax or a curse/extremespeed arcanine/dragonite. problem is umbreon attracts whirlwind/roar like flies. [ 04-11-2002, 12:51 PM: Message edited by: spunman ]
