A Pro Action Replay is the exact same thing as a Gameshark. Infact, a Gameshark was nothing more then a PAR with different stickers/graphics.

I have a PAR($20 at Gamestop) for my GBA and it works just fine with any Gameshark code I've found so far.

Codebreakers are the only alternatives I know of, but they're nearly twice as expensive..

MadCatz owns the /name/ 'Gameshark', but as far as I know they don't have any rights to the device. The Action Replay is what a Gameshark was.. Same device, same code system, same everything 'cept name. Gamesharks were licensed AR 'clones' for use in the US, where Action Replays were not sold. I can only assume their contract ran up and the AR guys decided to just sell them here themselves.
