I am in need of the following codes for Pokemon Crystal:

1) A code for instant L100 Pokemon in slot 1. I don't give a rip about stats.

2) How to shark Metronome onto moveslot 4, Pokemon slot 1.

3) Codes to force an enemy trainer to have these two Pokemon:

~Smeargle with Sketch, Safeguard, and Seismic Toss at L25
~Parasect with just Spore, L25.

4) If you can get this - a code to lock Metronome onto the move Transform.

Yes, I'm finally doing the Metronome Mewtation test. That was my New Year's resolution, along with 640x480.

So - plz hook a brother up.

1) 0164FEDC

2) 0176E4DC

3) Use all of the following codes:

010280D2 (enemy has 2 pokemon)

01EB81D2 01EB88d2 (first enemy pokemon is smeargle. use both)
01A68AD2 (1st attack is sketch)
01DB8BD2 (2nd attack is safeguard)
01458CD2 (3rd attack is seismic toss
01008DD2 (no 4th attack.)
0119A7D2 (level 25)

012F82D2 012FB8D2 (2nd pokemon is parasect. use both)
0193BAD2 (1st attack is spore)
0100BBD2 (no 2nd attack)
0100BCD2 (no 3rd attack)
0100BDD2 (no 4th attack)
0119D7D2 (level 25)

And i don't tink there is a metronome modifier code. I may be wrong

These codes should work. I pretty sure #1&2 are savable but i dont think #3 is.

Good news.

Yesterday, I tested out two Metronome/Metronome/Metronome/Metronome Pokemon in battle, each with unlimited HP and PP, and just waited for Transform to pop up.

After 232 tries, it did (and the opposing Level 3 Hoothoot got to inherit 318 AT, 228 DF, 228 SA, 318 SD, and 158 SP).

And we already KNOW that once a Pokemon has Transform, nothing stops it from replacing that move permanently with anything except one of the 8 Sketch-proof moves (or Sketch itself; you can get it, but you just can't make that move permanent).

Case closed.

*goes to put Spikes on Blissey*

What are the eight Sketch-proof moves again? (Explosion, Selfdestruct, Mirror Move, Metronome...?)

I think these are the eight Sketch-proof moves.

And now Jolt135 is claiming that it's legal to have a Spikes Blissey and Any Attack Mew?

Riiiiight...

Yes.

If you're not specifying any external rules before a battle, then RBY's TM 35, or Transform, is a ticket to at least 242 other moves on the compatibility list.

Fortunately, most people run a rule which prohibits this.

Just like they made a rule that bans Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, and Celebi-if-I'm-not-high-on-crack.

Just like some people continue to call the evade modifier an illegitimate aspect of the game.

Just like Fish rarely gets to use his favorite creation, and other possible uses for Fissure and Horn Drill go down the drain with it.

Just like Magic has a Restricted List for cards like Ancestral Recall and Necropotence.

Any more analogies are welcome.

If they don't say it, anything is now legal. An educated battler may specify 'no Metronome trick' along with the standard clause list, but someone else may not, and I can use my Sporing Golem [Big Grin]

If it's there, why not use it? The Present glitch is used a lot, as is DT. And 00bers. There's absolutely no reason why I can't use my Cross Chopping Mewtwo in normal battles. It was there the whole time, I just put it to good use. A lot of things shouldn't have happenned but did. For one, Snorlax shouldn't have been able to learn Curse. But it does. And it works effectively.

What reminds me...

Lance's Dragonite! j/k

In Japanese Gold/Silver, you can transfer IV's from one poké to another using a Bug Catching Contest trick. Do they consider this cheating?

I do, but this is similar to cloning. Everyone can do this.

And once someone said the Tranform trick was "under wraps" since GS was released in Japan. Do they also consider this cheating?

I do, but it is way out of hand for normal players. You need to be sick enough to try this without gameshark. And since GS is considerer bad cheating...

EDIT: Aeroblasting Dragonite [Smile]

Well, if it were mainstream (as in everyone did it), then how would it remain under wraps? The only use I've ever seen or heard from this trick without being cheating is breeding down TMs with minimal fuss. Or, perhaps getting yourself a Swords Dancing Marowak when you are so unfortunate as to only have one Gameboy.

I think these are the eight Sketch-proof moves.

Kingdra woke up!
Enemy Kingdra used Sleep Talk.
But it failed!
Smeargle used Sketch.

Arcanine, Return!
Go Smeargle!
Enemy Pidgeot used Mirror Move.
But it failed!
Smeargle used Sketch.

Espeon used Mimic.
But it failed!
Smeargle used Sketch.

The Sleep Talk one works for sure anyway. I'd try the others but my gameboy's broken, somebody wanna try 'em for me?
