I've done screenshot maps before on Blue... But I got tired of it pretty quickly. ^_^;

I want to do some of the more complicated areas of Crystal; such as Whirl Islands, Mt. Mortar and the like. But I don't want to play through the whole game on an emulator. So, I need some GS codes.

I think I need:
  • The codes to shark up two Pokémon, each Lv. 100, one with Cut, Strength, Surf and Flash, the other with Fly, Whirlpool, Waterfall and Dig (I don't particularly care which Pokémon- surprise me)
  • The codes to 'activate' all the HMs (or have all the Gym Leaders defeated, or something- as long as I can use said HMs and control said Pokémon)
  • The codes to 'activate' all the towns, so that I can Fly wherever I please right away (is there even a code for this?)
  • Infinite money/Max Repel effects would be nice too
Essentially, I just want to get to Whirl Islands right away and start taking screen grabs. Will I need anything else?
As for the emulator itself, I currently don't have one. I just need one that can run Crystal in color, has a GS function and can (preferably) take multiple screenshots at once. Any suggestions for that?
Thanks in advance. Credits will be given where appropriate.

Edit: Oh yeah! Is there a code/emulator function to make the main character sprite vanish?

The codes for all five of the things you requested have been hacked and recorded by some people out there. Unfortunately, I do not have time to look all of them up. If noone here on this forum gives you all the codes soon, I can suggest going to the GameFAQs crystal board and asking Game Kid. I'm betting that fanatic would be happy to give you all the codes within a day or so.

What Nintendo doesn't want you to know
Uiru: "Now that we're all used to the rules, clauses and by-laws... what would happen to the metagame if every one of them were whipped away?"
GP-Chan: "id probably quit every battle, and not just every other battle."

I feel like such a tool.

First, I hate to sound like an elitist cheating bastard, but I'm fairly certain those are GS codes. I believe I stated Crystal; as I found some Crystal codes after some searching and they're entirely different (and work [Wink] ). Oh well, no harm done.

Second... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Celebi is SO CUTE!!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] ...I mean, ahem, this is all in the name of research. Yet, I still feel like a tool; even on an emulator, just making maps. However, I am going to enjoy a 999 stat Celebi with Sacred Fire, Aero Blast, Cross Chop and Synthesis. Yes, Synthesis. I've got 19 HP and Synthesis. Actually, I think I'll just whip up a team of Celebi with various movesets, working in the HM moves as required. Maybe even one with a sensible moveset. ^_^;

A tool, I said. A tool.

Edit:
COP: "What? You battled a trainer like that?"
UIRA: "Actually, I didn't. I just Flew here on my Celebi, after entering scads of illegal codes on my illegal copy of this game."
COP: "Did you happen to get his name?"
UIRA: *smacks forehead*

Edit the Second:
Route 42

Now it's time to actually ENTER Mt. Mortar. This'll be fun.

To erase sprites, you can use no$gmb and then go to tile viewer and look up the addresses of the tiles that you want to erase and fill 16 bytes starting from each of these addresses with 00h.

There are 2 easy steps to getting screenshots of large areas;

1) Get a ROM
2) Get Goldmap. The more versions you download, the better. Just, search for it on Google, or maybe Altavista (since Google uses linknig to pages, and the ROM Hacking sites you'll get decent copies off aren't exactly link central)
