Given that Crystal isn't built into the PS2 cartridge, as is shown by the long loading time, would it be possible to change the ROM header on any game to the Pokémon Crystal header using a flash linker (POKECRYSTAL or whatever it is), and play that in the GB Tower?

Just a thought...

Now I get what he means.

He's wondering if you can change the ROM on a cart, so that the cart is recognised as Pokémon Crystal instead of the game it actually is. The ROM header is probably the part of the ROM which tells the GB which game it is playing.

Perhaps you could do it, but you would need some kind of "gameboy burner", a ROM hacking software, and an empty cartridge. I've heard that these things can be purchased over the Web.

Pokemon Red and Blue aren't even 512K each. I don't see why Nintendo didn't stick one of them completely into the game so you wouldn't need a cartridge. I think Nintendo was just being greedy for more unneeded money.
