Hi! It's been a while since I've been to this place, let alone posted, so you may not recognize me. But I've been lurking in the shadows even way back when there were some folks trying to figure out how to catch a wild Misty. I was just curious if anyone ever made any progress on that or if it just ended up being impossible. And I was also wondering if there were any Gameshark codes for Pokémon G/S that allowed you to fight wild trainers, or even just trainers in the wild. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think their are any ways to fight wild trainers in GSC becuase the Pokemon digits that triggered trainers in RBY are now valid Pokemon. The only addresses that would be empty in GSC are 0 and 252-255, and one of those is an egg, so the number of adressed not containing Pokemon drops to 4. Out of those four, some might trigger a trainer, but there's conisderrable doubt. (I don't have a gameshark, so I can't test).

That's what I think at least. It's probably terribly inacurate, though!

The other invalid digits trigger a Game Link battling glitch of some sort...
