Being the fun loving guy I am and seeing the other ethics questions out there I decieded to make one of my own.

In crystal a lady has the ability to tell you where your pokemon was caught and at what level. Much to my dismay it looks like my cart knows where and when I got my jolteon... Lvl 4 right outside the first gym town.

Looks like its time to breed the cheat out of this one and start over clean... Although having a dirty mother might not be that clean.

Haha, your Jolteon's a dirty slut. J\K.

Seriously, what happens if you shark something on a different cart, then trade it over to Crystal? I don't think I've gotten to the chick on my Crystal game yet, so I can't try it out for myself, but unless info about where a pokemon was caught actually gets transferred between carts during a trade ((not bloody likely)), just sharking on G\S and trading to Crystal should do it. Or maybe if you trade the Jolteon over to G\S and then trade him back, the game might not remember where he was caught...? May not work, but could be worth a try.

Man, this sucks. Crystal has a built in nark. Thanks for the warning. Where is the bitch, anyways?

Ughhh i think that if you trade your Jolteon to another game, then trade back, the info on where and what level it was caught will be erased

Haven't had the pleasure of trading over yet... But I have the sneaking suspicion that its going to remember.

This chick is right next to where you see Suicune the first time in the wild... Blackthorn town? Anyway its the fighting gym town.

The seer is at the extreme north end of Cianwood City.

According to what other people have said, she will forget where the Pokemon was caught if you trade it to Gold or Silver.

This is just sad......like its THAT hard to get an Jolteon naturally in Crystal..lessee..get the Eevee from bill, head back to Ecutreak, head left, fight the girl on the route, train while waiting for her to get you a Thunderstone. Geez, the kinds of thing people use sharks anymore for are pitiful. I can see the logic behind Celebi/Mew or TM hacks and such, but plain out getting a pokemon easily obtainable at a point soon before is just plain dumb.

anyways, if you want a Jolty that badly, trade over a Thunderstone and an Eevee egg from G/S.

Actually, I'd think the biggest problem with the Crystal Nark would *be* Celebi\Mew hacks. You have a tourney coming up. You need a Jolteon that absolutely, without a doubt, looks legit, you can just play it safe and breed\evolve one, but if you need an official looking Mew or Celebi, you have no other option but to hack away. LOL @ hacking Jolteon. Thing is, people are probably less likely to check for Eevee hacks than they are to check for Mew\Celebi hacks. If someone sends out a Jolteon, your first thought isn't "gee, I wonder if it's legitimate." Mew or Celebi, however...expect to get searched and interrogated. And anyways, if you want a quick Eevee or Jolteon or whatever, and you're gonna Shark, you can just use the quick hatch egg code and Shark yourself a Thunder stone.

Well, if you are cheating partly, then you can cheat the whole way... I figured out the codes that tell where and at what level it was caught:

01xxDCFC - Location Caught
01xxDCFD - Either level or time caught

If you want it to look like it's traded, then just use 00 for both.

I hatched a Dratini on the S.S. AQUA, to see what she said about it. She said I met it at FAST SHIP. Kinda cool.
