No Way! You must talk to the girl to get the mystery gift option.

i'm sure this can be done, but i don't know a code for it. you'd have to find out what bits are flipped in ram when you talk to the girl, then pinpoint (if necessary) the bit or bits that allow the mystery gift option. unfortunately, i'm very unfamiliar with mystery gift, so i wouldn't even know where to start.

Naw, but say you have friends with Pokemon and you just got it? You wanna trade presents but you haven't gotten to Goldenrod. If anybody has one of those handy little multi-save paks with Pokemon saves on it they could continue a game where you can get to Goldenrod, but don't have Mystery Gift yet. Then use the GameShark's code generator thing while talking to the girl, and go get that code! I don't have the save-pak, so I can only help by posting my best idea. (I don't even know if that would work.)

I have not figured out why the mystery gift option appears out of nowhere when you play on an emulator or do lots of hacking (e.g. Starwolf thinks it appeared when he used the unlock all room decorations code). And using the conventional technique for finding codes (just talk to the girl and use the code generator), I don't understand why I couldn't find a simple code for it. My guess is that the mystery gift data is stored in a place similar to where the hall of fame is stored. It's a place that can't be sharked, but will get funny values when you get into buggy (Missingno-like) mode.
