Yah, like the topic says: Is there a faster way to speed up my training process? I do NOT have access to N64, so this would mean:

a) Changing the wild pokémon's levels to around 70 or 80 (That's around my team's levels) What's the code to do this?

b) Speeding the game up with a GameShark code (Is this possible?)

Thanks in advance

Check out the Weird Science section of this very site: http://azureheights.com/weird

That should answer some of the basics.

Yes, I know the basics. I read them when I first got here on AH

But now I'm asking for the codes to do those things I asked

So... What's the code to raise wild pokémons's levels?

Well, there are codes to get max stat exp, which would eliminate the need for training.

As cfalcon said, Level isn't Sharked directly...you have to apply the appropriate amount of EXP to the Pokemon, box it, and see where it's at. You should be able to figure out the right amount, by checking our Pokedex to see the Pokemon's growth rate, then looking up the growth equations.

Yeah, but I don't want to cheat that hard. I want to battle.

Why it "isn't" cheating: If I can raise wild pokémons's levels, it would be the same as if I made practice robots for boxing

So... What's the code to raise wild pokémons's levels?

Okay, I can train them "by hand" if you want to. Maybe I have to buy a N64 then.

Well, just because I don't know how to do it doesn't mean it can't be done...I was just trying to be helpful with my limited knowledge...

...anyway, what you're looking for isn't exactly a method to train faster, it's just a way to avoid training...which is why I figured your might just as well Shark stat exp.

At any rate...how about shortening that sig?

Yeah, thanks.

BTW, it isn't a way to avoid training, I would still be fighting for all the exp I get, because of course the pokémon would be harder to beat

Okay, I shortened it a little.

When I get home after lab I'll try and remember to look up stuff like this: basically you want to fight higher level monsters, right? I agree that the game should offer that. I think it's silly to be forced to trek to 100 on L50-60 monsters. You *are* supposed to get to 100, right?

Anyway, basically there's two codes, one to choose species and one to choose level of the monster you are fighting, and they should be on Gamefaqs right now. I also have them someplace, and anyone who has a shark compendium (Lugia, for instance), will also have them.

But as K said, it's still cheating... But you can say you fought them up to 100.

I think it's cheating in the same way I think Dodrio / Doduo mode is cheating: it is something not intended when the game was made. Nintendo might make up rules, but that doesn't change the game... I don't imagine that anyone, even a purist, would have a problem with either of these two methods, to be honest. Some people are schmucks, and think that anything the shark touches is tainted, though...

Oh fine, I'll look on Gamefaqs myself...

Thanks.

Sadly, it doesn't work

Or, it DOES, but you don't receive right exp. for it (At least I think about 1400 exp for a level 80 Kadabra is not right...).

If you want to max out stat exp, this isn't really going to help you anyway. It'll get you to L100 quickly, but you won't have max stat exp when you get there, so you'll have to keep having more battles anyway if you want to max out your stats...

...just a thought.

In the Game Boy Tower section of Pokemon Stadium (for the N64) you can play the regular old Game Boy game on your teevee.

Doduo and Dodrio modes are prizes for beating certain levels. In these modes the game plays much faster than normal speed. Something like x2 for Doduo and x4 for Dodrio.

It makes training (and everything else) go a lot faster, and prevents neck strain.
