I caught a shiney gold scizor the other day then I sharked it to max stats and it wasn't shiney anymore! I want the dam scizor back! Also I want the leftovers code. I would put this under the old thread but it seems no one has responded to that in days.

That's because shineyness is based on genes. Altering the genes to get max stats will remove the shineyness.

The closest a shiney Pokemon can get to max stats (genes of FFFF) is to have genes of FAAA.

Also, tried using the shiney Pokemon code at the bug catchers contest last night. This was REALLY freaky! I caught a shiney Pinsir...using an Ultra Ball! It wouldn't let me use Parkballs. Well, I ended the contest...winning NOTHING! My party was deleted (Thank god I was carrying crap Pokemon and an EGG). Well, when I was done, I had still had my EGG, but it was named PINSIR! I'm not kidding...

Wierd, eh?

The digit for leftovers is 92. Put it into the item code.

Does Stat Experience have an effect on Shininess too? I sharked the Red Gyarados from the Lake of Rage to max Stat Experience and it lost its red color and shininess.

no, unless you shark it so it's dv aren't all 10, it will stay the same, because dvs don't change. max stated pokemon all have 15 for dvs, and shineys have 10
