i'm a a little new to this site, but not to pokemon...but i have a question? whenever, i use my game shark to modify a pokemon into another that i am otherwise unable get outside of trading, stadium won't acknowledge the change. the pokemon remains the same as was when i caught it! my question is whether or not there is a code to permanently digitally alter a pokemon into another without stadium knowing? ideally i'd like to have all 151 pokemon with my trainer name and id so i can change their names as i please, you know!? if anyone knows of a solution, please let me know. thanks!

It's because there's two different places in RAM where the species of the Pokemon is stored. It's better to change the type of Pokemon that appear in the wild and catch them.

replace the XX with pokemon's hex values, don't catch a pokemon then change its type.
