Is there something like that? The way I see it, there has to be.

Stat boosters just boost stat EXP, so it really is just accelerated boxing... but you still need more boxing afterward.

That doesn't help. There's the 10 stat boosters, so there has to be some entry in memory that controls how many stat boosters have been used on a particular pokémon, whether in the box or on your team.

Well, it isn't always 10.

Note that a high level monster will take less.

I suspect it is directly related to stat EXP: probably something like "You can't gain above X stat EXP in each category".
