I believe it IS possible to trade a MissingNo. through link cable. If you're asking if trading Pokemon from a game that encountered MissingNo., then no. The Pokemon will not be affect by MissingNo., therefore, will have no affect on your game.

MissingNo. is still in the game, as it';s impossible to safely remove it without adding in more Pokémon or Trainers. They just rewrote the code a bit after the Japanese Blue version players discovered MissingNo. Therefore, Yellow had a fixed code for the English translation.

Oh, and as for fighting Electrodes-your name and such affects what you fight. When I made up a joke name, for example, I found only Abra and Golduck. When I tried my main name, I fought only MissingNo..

My real name's Michelle, which doesn't fit, so I shorten my name to Chelle and right after the e put in the female symbol. Just as the list says, when I do the Missingno trick I always fight 100 + Rapidashes and Aerodactyls. I also get the Channeler and I fight her with her Missingno and glitched pokemon, which is probably due to my female symbol in seventh place of my name.

My brother's name is Chris and he gets squirtles and Charmeleons! So, as far as I can tell that list seems pretty accurate. Anyone else? A pity there seems to be no way to get a glitched mew out of it. Oh well that's why I bought my trusty gameshark!
