My friend let me borrow Stadium for a while and I was going to make a good team in my yellow, but when I went in the game and flipped the switch it would freeze. It worked last night but not now. When I put JDonald's code in that makes you fight a wild Poke when the switch gets flipped the gameshark goes back to the "start game, options, code generator, and list codes" page. Do any of you know what's happening or if i might have put a code in that glitched it?

There should be two switches on the game shark. The top one in the center, as soon as you press it, will take you back to the menu. It's the one on the side you need to switch "on" once you've entered the game. Once you switch it on, if the code is entered correctly, it will work. Make sure the code you have is for the yellow version, because yellow codes differ from Red and Blue codes. (A way to change a Red and Blue code to yellow is USUALLY to decrease the third digit of the code by one if my memory serves me correctly).

My gameshark worked fine with my red and blue versions (although I still have them backed up with my mega memory card). Unfortunately when I tried using the gameshark with my yellow version I deleted the game. I didn't have a mega memory card back then, but to be on the safe side I stored all my pokemon on the N64 boxes! Boy am I glad I did that!
Much to my surprise I tried out the gameshark on my brother's yellow version and it worked great! I think it might have to do with your game being dirty, or maybe the gameshark just doesn't like some games. VERY carefully, you might try cleaning the game with a slight damp cloth. Maybe they even sell cleaning kits that might be safer to use.

mine does that too. sometimes when I turn the switch on it jerks the game just right and it restarts. its quite annoying if youve been playing for awhile.
