Not actually about GameShark, so sorry for wasting your click, but here goes:

Just a quick reminder to anyone with $25, at least one pokémon game, and a desire to not lose all of your data: Go buy a MegaMemory card, also by Interact. It works slick (worst that will happen is that *it* will go blank), and you can screw around with your cartridge to your heart's content.

Plus you can start a new game.

So can your friends.

You can back up your friend's game. Now you have ALL his monsters.

Etc.

It's been awhile since I've said this, and there's been a lot of "I'm worried about losing my data", so this might be a good idea.

Plus, you don't have that "I'm dealing with Dark Forces" slimy feeling that some of you *cough* *Rolken* *cough* get when you hear "Gameshark", and you can still do all of the cheats that are just duplicating what would happen if you had a lot more money and time to buy spare cartridges.

Opinions? Anyone have a negative experience with a MegaMem that wasn't just all 8 bits and a 9th carry bit of stupid?

I've seconded this before, but I'll second it a second time...in a second...

<tick>

OK, I second this.

I used to occasionally have nightmares of losing my precious Wigglytuff or my well-trained Lee. The MegaMem card helps me sleep at night.

I've also figured out how to use it to cheat, but I haven't actually done it yet.

Also, I now have 2 versions of my Snorlax. One with Amnesia and one with Selfdestruct. I like the SD one better, but I worry about losing Amnesia forever...

It's a great tool for all the above reasons and more. I used it to have six Mews at one time, but now I only have two, my Swift Dancer Exploding Act and my more conventional Psychic Thunder Waving Softboiling Thunderbolt.

Err, right... Anyway if you don't have one get it! If it's any incentive, you can catch Missingno's without worry of losing your game, 'cuz it's backed up!

And that, my friends, is why we never use DOUBLE-EDGE on CHANSEY...

A Swift Dancer is any Pokemon who knows both Swift and Swords Dance. It's a great counter to Double Team.

MEWTWO's SPECIAL greatly rose!
Enemy MAGIKARP used SPLASH!
