Hey, is there a code for the species of your own pokemon? I know there must be...In Pokemon Blue/Red, if you use the "change the species of a wild pokemon you fight" code 01XXD8CF, and put in a funny non-pokemon number such as E7, you will fight a TRAINER of some type! With the right number you will fight Misty or anyone you want, but the game will be a little screwy. I thought maybe if you put a funny non-pokemon number in a pokemon species code for pokemon you already own, they might turn into a Misty, Ash, or whoever you want? ------------------

Best I can get would be:01EB64D1 01EB6BD1 First Pokémon becomes Misty. It won't look like her anywhere that you look at your Pokémon, and I don't know what it'll sound like in battle, but those are the HEX values for Misty. By the by, she's got some pretty good stats. Maybe even excelling stats...I'd have to check. Must be muscle from smacking Ash around all the time, and speed from running away from Bug Pokémon ^_^ --Meowth346 ------------------ PokéResearcher in charge of Pokémon Forever found via http://anime.at/pokefor

Are you sure Misty has a walking frame? She never moves in the RBY, IIRC.

BTW Misty's stats are the same as a Dodrio's. It even says No. 85 (Dodrio's number) on her stat screen, even though the picture and name is all screwed up.I guess there are not 256 different possible fake pokemons after all. I had thought that for each unused hex code, the game might reference random locations in memory meant for other data, and use them to determine the pokemons statistics. But the unused hex codes that correspond to trainers (around E0 to FF maybe) give you weird screwed-up versions of regular pokemon, and any other hex codes seem to direct the game, like a pointer, to the same MissingNo. pokemon who is No. 000. I dunno why 'M is different from MissingNo. though. So, if there is only one MissingNo., maybe that means it can only evolve into a Kanghaskhan. ------------------
