yo! i need someone with the red version (specifically red, not blue) to read some byte values for me.

instructions: (if you're using gameshark pro)
go to NEW GAME
when the professor asks for your name, select the predefined name RED
when, the prof says 'right so you're name is...', hit the GS button
go to the CODE GENERATOR menu
hit the START GENERATOR button
hit the VIEW CHEATS button
then keep hitting the A button until you reach the 01??58D1 code.

please read off for me codes 01??58D1 through 01??62D1.

if you are using an emulator or an older version of gameshark the instructions might be a little different but if you know what to do please help.

i would also like the same info for the names ASH and JACK

I'm guessing these out of my memory of the hex values for the Englsih letters, but I'm sure that they're right. Also, before you name your character, the HEX spells out "NINTENDO" for ASH and GARY's name (before you name him) is, of course, "SONY". "50" means that the letter before it was the last. If a name doesn't fill up all of the spaces, then I think that the remaining spaces are filled up with the end of "RED/ASH/JAC" where a "/" is a "50" value.

RED
019158D1
018459D1
01835AD1
01505BD1
01805CD1
01925DD1
01875ED1
01505FD1
018960D1
018061D1
010262D1

ASH
018058D1
019259D1
01875AD1
01505BD1
01895CD1
01805DD1
01825ED1
018A5FD1
015060D1
018D61D1
018462D1

JACK
018958D1
018059D1
01825AD1
018A5BD1
01505CD1
018D5DD1
01845ED1
01965FD1
017F60D1
018D61D1
018062D1

Again, this is from memory. I have the letters' HEX memorized, then after a name is filled with the remaining letters as explained above. For example, if you name your character "JOE, the game sees, "JOE/RED/JAC" and a name like "Gaylin" produces "Gaylin//JAC". The final letter of the name is always followed by a "50" shown here as a "/", meaning that the letter before it is the final letter of the name. Remove this from the name with Gamesahark by changing it to, oh say, a V when you character is called DUDE, and the name would change to DUDEVED.

If anyone's confused, sorry. But I did get the asked for codes up ^_^

Actually, when you enter a custom name, like DUDE, the rest of the bytes are zeroed out.

i.e. entering DUDE will put for the bytes:
DUDE/******

where / is the character of hex value 50 and * is the character of hex value 00.
