It seems that when I change my sig, all of my posts are updated with the new sig.

Evidence.

Considering I changed to that sig on October 6, and made that post on September 28... o_O...

Welcome to 6.05.

I admit that the old way was nicer, but this saves a lot of space, so I have to favor this way.

Not all posts... plenty of older ones are untouched. Maybe since the upgrade, or maybe just for whatever period that the thing hasn't assimilated its records yet or whatever Mysterious Things it does...

Well, pre-update posts will not have their sigs updated. New posts will not get updated until the thread is rebuilt. That'll happen when a change is made to the thread, or I rebuild the databases.

It only updates your sig when it needs to update the page. The same is with user ratings.
