This isn't really a complaint, it's just an idea. Ya'll can decide to yea/ney it.

Anyway, I think that if it's not too much trouble, there could be more status titles to earn (Annelid, GiantSquid, etc...)

Like, maybe a Badalid for people who have reached over 500 posts, etc...

Just somethin to spice things up a little.

Isn't our ``final evolution'' at 100 posts? (Excluding moderators/administrators.) I think that's fine as it is since after 100 posts people have no reason to post random crap anymore (especially with post count in thread disabled).

The final evo is around 25, I think. Just enough to make the Newbie title useful, so you know if a name you've never seen before really is a new guy, but low enough to keep Spamming for Ranks under control.

I'm not against hacks that make the forum better, but hacks that encourage people to spam are right out.

Well you see what they can do is put the post count back up and then they cn make like 50 post you get one badge and then like 100 posts you get another advanced kind of badge then maybe at 150 another and at 200 orso your able to get an avatar. But then we would have to worry about people spamming just to reach the next rank to earn a bade or to reach that avatar goal or what not. .

Why AH doesn't need any more ranks, ever:

There is a guy on TPM who has racked up 20,000 posts. Yet I have never seen him write ANYTHING useful--just two line "I dunno. Good luck!" comments. Although he recently wrote a ten page self-congratulary monograph on his posting history upon reaching 20K...Scary. He should be the TPM Village Idiot, except that there are sooo many more deserving candidates.

When I want to feel smart, I read TPM. When I want to feel stupid, I read AH.

(Edit: Personally, I assumed the poster immediately before me was being bitterly sarcastic about TPM, which prompted my comments...But you never can know--the difference between rank stupidity and arch humor is pretty narrow...)
