How do the new ratings work? So far I've seen Visitor, Member, Azurian, and Proprietor. What's the difference between the middle two?

Visitors are newbies, Members are whomever has posted enough messages to not be considered a newbie any more by the software, Azurians are Moderators, and the Proprietor is the Admin.
I'm still looking for a better scheme, and am open to suggestions...anything that fits into the new metaphor would be cool...

I have a ridiculously crazy idea...
You should...somehow...make a system that gives people names that shows thier knowledge somehow.
I know that's not possible, but I mean something that won't make me identified on the same level as Magician Type 0. That's not fair to me... That way, people would have an idea if the advice they are getting is coming from someone who knows what they are talking about.
You know what I mean, don't you? Anyway, there is a ridiculous idea from me.
Of course, who would judge what you know...some people are probably quite sick of me..

Unfortunately, the way the code is set up, making modifications to the Forum like that is a real pain whenever you need to update.
I guess I could just turn the titles off entirely...
Anyway, I think MT0's posts speak louder than that silly little title under his name.

When someone posts a topic, the responders will be able to rate it on a scale. This affects your "intellegence" rating at the board. Also, the more you set forth also boosts your rating. You could put it on a scale of 1-5 or something, top being the hexcode for Azure backround (87-something...). This also gives the board more intelligent content. And the higheryou are on the scale, the more your rating affects the overall rating (like if the post was at 3, and someone with a rating of 5 and another with 1 both rated the topic at a perfect ten, the guy with 5 would move the rating up higher than the other, more newbie-ish one).
I highly doubt anyone here could feasibly put this into play, but it'd theorectically work.

That is a pretty good idea, but code-wise it'd be a real pain. I wouldn't actually even mind hacking something like that together if it wouldn't get blasted with the next Forum update.
Until then, I really need to keep the customizations to a minimum.
