I'm about to investigate the effects of MissingNo. when it appears in Yellow (via the "Mew Trick"). However, there's something I want to know before doing that...
What exactly happens when you get the "Your save file has been destroyed." message? Can you just start a new game and forget about that message? Or is your game screwed forever?

I got the "destroyed" message once and just restarted... wasn't that far into it, either. The game seems to have no ill effects now, and I've had it for four years.

Of course, I bought a Mega Memory Card shortly after that. [Razz]

Yeah, it doesn't permanently destroy your cart or anything, because... well, it's only software.

This made me think of an old post to AGNP by MTSowbug on the subject. He did a nice, careful job of describing everything, and I remember thinking at the time that we should have prompted him to write it up for a Glitch page at AHPL.

A few others have carefully described glitch behavior as well.

(I know you're talking about Yellow, and I'm not sure that's been done. But it might be interesting to compare to the stuff linked above.)
