Are the anti-fire effects of water sport cumulative with those of rain dance? How much is damager reduced?

I couldn't imagine any reason why these wouldn't be cumulative, but I tested it anyway. I'll cut short of listing damage ranges, but, yes, they are cumulative, so fire-users can be truly hosed.

The damage reduction for both moves is the same. They both cause a 50% reduction in the damage for Fire-type moves. So, with both in effect Fire-type moves do only 1/4 damage.

I also noticed in my testing that one of the moves' damage reduction is ignored during a Critical Hit. Rain Dance was retained in G/S/C, therefore I would assume that Water Sport is the one that is ignored, but I didn't test that just yet, so I'm not going to state that as a certainty.

Thanks, Continue, now I know that if I simply use raindance and watersport I can pretty well assure that my masquerain will be taken out by a thunder attack. Seriously, though, thanks for the info. There's gotta be some way to take advantage of that, short of adding mudsport.
