Castform transforms into fire with sunnyday, water with rain dance, ice with hail, but why doesn't he change with sandstorm? he get's buffeted by it, I assumeds it would turn into Ground or Rock or something like that, does anyone know why? or is it possible?

Does Castform get any stat boosts/changes or is it only changing type to Fire, Water or Ice? And if the weather condition wears out on its own, does it revert to Normal type?

He PPG! Back again? Why not use you RyuRen account?

Anyways, you're right about sandstorm... blows chunks indeed. Maybe because it has nothing to do with the weather?

OK, after screwing around a bit with this cute looking condom, I discovered that his kickass weather ball attack is also different with each weather type.

Which is a really good thing, since 50 base power + weather + STAB (yes, he gets stab on that everytime) = mega ouwie 150 power attack. Which can be a fire attack, ice attack, water attack and...... a rock attack! Yes, my friends, Castform itself does not change type in a sandstorm, but weatherball does. Which spells ownage.

Castform gets a 5. I'm starting to like this trojan!

Hope that helped.

Wouldn't the Rock-type Weather Ball only be 50 power, since there's no STAB and no weather bonus?

Also, does Hail adjust type powers or is it just an Ice-type Sandstorm?

I've heard rumors that Hail prevents thawing, too. Any research on this?

Also, a 50 power Fire/Water attack with STAB and the matching weather effect is only 50 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 112.5 power, not 150.

So this means that Castforms Weather Ball attack powers under the different weather effects are:

Sunny Day: 112.5 power Fire
Rain Dance: 112.5 power Water
Hail: 75 power Ice
Sandstorm: 50 power Rock

But power doubles under weather effect, which makes it 100*1.5*1.5 = 225

Or I am gravely mistaken.

Unless it's changed since GSC, Sunny Day and Rain Dance only give a 50% boost to their respective types.

Also, your formula in calculating the 225 power is wrong. You got that number by using the "doubling" weather effect to take it from 50 to 100, multiplied by 1.5 for the STAB, and then multiplied by 1.5 again for no reason whatsoever. [Smile]
