After spending about five minutes bothering to actually look, I found the wild Pokemon data in a Blue ROM... so now I can finish my Pokedex. Finally. Stupid thing.
Of course, one thing I still haven't decided is... data format. XML kinda sucks, so mySQL or MSAccess or what...
Anyway! Here's something I've wondered about for all of five minutes... the first 22 bytes look like this...
00 19 03 24 03 A5 03 A5 02 A5 02 24 03 24 03 42 04 A5 04 42 05 42
...which is universally described as 00 19, then ten pairs of bytes that go level Pokemon level Pokemon etc. Not all of them start with 19, though; some are 08, 14, 0A, 19, 0F, or others.
So! What the heck is this byte for (0xD0DE)? Why are there 5 null bytes in a row after 20 or so sets of these (0xD2AC)? Why is there a set that goes on for maybe 60 bytes (0xD4D6)? And what order are these in?
Someone tell me so I don't have to do any conscious thinking o.o
