...is affected by Light Screen?

What Nintendo doesn't want you to know
Uiru: "Now that we're all used to the rules, clauses and by-laws... what would happen to the metagame if every one of them were whipped away?"
GP-Chan: "id probably quit every battle, and not just every other battle."

Light Screen reduces the damage done my Special attacks, so the damage send back via Mirror Coat will also be reduced.

I think he meant if your enemy uses lightscreen and you use mirror coat. If that's the case then the answer is no.

...Why would COUNTER/MIRROR COAT be affected by REFLECT/LIGHT SCREEN if they're calculated-damage moves? =P

It is my understading that the damage of Counter/Mirror Coat is calculated, therefore uneffected by Stat modifications. It will always be double the damage recieved.

Unless of course, if Counter is used against a Ghost or Mirror Coat is used against a Dark. Heh, just wanted to add that little bit; some people actually try it. Which is why the supposedly new Dark/Ghost type will literally slaughter Wobby.

My testing (mucho thanks to Spunman for telling me how to do it on no$gmb) shows that Counter does indeed ignore Reflect.

Thanks for testin, nice to be sure...

As for this supposed "Dark/Ghost" type, it is just speculation right? Like, no one knows what it really is at all right?

hopefully, either Nintendo makes Counter/Mirror Coat change into attacks that ignore types (like in RBY), or make a new move that does the same, but is of a type that doesn't have another to have immunity against...
