I was wondering if any one can tell me when Mew was given away? I tried searching, but no luck. Thanks.

IIRC, the Mew Machine was at every Pokemon tour stop between Mew's acknowledgement (January 1999) and the Six Flags tours (which had Celebi).

*Nintendo Power (151 Winners)
*Pokemon Summer Mall Tours 2000
*Nintendo Power again (1000 or 2000 winners, can't remember which)
*Toys R Us the day after Thanksgiving, I got mine this way =)
*Another Contest that had the chance to win Celebi, 251 winners, if you wanted, you could get Mew instead if you won...

Yeah. Not many people play the Red/Blue versions anymore. I mean, why buy Red/Blue when you can get Crystal for the same price?

I should kill you for saying that. RBY are like godly compared to most videogames. And you need the original TM's to attain good movesets for some GSC pokes. And the original 151 pokes as well.

The local arcade had a Mew machine located near the entrance for three months two years ago.

I grabbed six at the time, not wanting to be greedy ^_~
