Alright, now if I have a Water HP...will I get STAB if it were being used by a Water type pokemon?

Is STAB even possible with Hidden power, or is it always listed as a "Normal" type... therefore, allowing 'lax to get STAB?

Anyone know?

I'd guess STAB from water type, but I don't know.

If the Hidden Power's damaging type matches the user's (ie: Water Power on Starmie), then it is STABbed.

The Normal type only comes into play when the person who got HPed Counters your ass.

The type that Hidden Power represents gets STAB. That's why many people use Grass HP on Grass types to stop Mirror Coat Suicune.

No, there is no way to get "double stab"

If you have a fighting HP for example a Heracross would get STAB, but not an Ursaring. Normals can in no way get STAB on Hidden Power.
