Sorry if this has been posted before, but I noticed this the other day and thought I might mention it here.

When my rental Ditto used Transform against an enemy Ditto in a Stadium free battle, the attack failed.

However, when a Metronome-happy rental Golem chanced upon Transform while battling my Golem (also a rental), it successfully Transformed into... well, itself, basically.

Is it, then, that Ditto is the only Pokemon that cannot be Transformed into?

I thought Transform was un-Metronomeable... isn't it? Makes sense, but then again, my Explode-happy Mew makes no sense either.

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs, huge erections, and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

Well, it wasn't the only time I've seen Metronome choose Transform, it also happened in my early days of Pokemon in which my Hitmonchan transformed into a Pidgeotto. ^_^

"When my rental Ditto used Transform against an enemy Ditto in a Stadium free battle, the attack failed."

Here's why: This is true to Gold/Silver/Crystal (and their Stadium Counterparts)...

The enemy Ditto had already transformed into your rental Ditto. If a Pokémon has already used Transform themselves another Pokémon can't transform them.

On Red/Blue/Yellow you could transform into a transformed Pokémon, at least I think so.

Here's a good way to see it if that was confusing...

Enemy Ditto used Transform
Enemy Ditto transformed into Rental Ditto
Rental Ditto used Transform
No! The move failed!
(move fails cause Rentral Ditto has already transformed)

Also, I don't see why Transform is un-metronomeable. I'm quite sure that I've seen Transform obtained via Metronome on Red/Blue/Yellow. Why would they remove it for Gold/Silver/Crystal? No real reason...

Transform was one of my favourite moves to Metronome.

Right next to Amnesia and Thunderwave.

Thunder Wave/Swagger/Reflect/Transform @ Miracleberry could work well on Mew. Except against Toxic/Perish Trappers.

Parafusion, and boosted attack (negated on your opponent's side,) not to mention all turn advantage is negated. Except for the parafusion, of course. And if you have a higher HP, you'll be at a stat advantage too. The only problem is time advantage (it takes set-up time, which is rarely allowed in today's metagame, it seems) and Heal Bell (they can switch right out of it and negate all its initial effects.) Oh, and Softboiled over Reflect if you expect to see special attackers.

Well, you were all talking about Transform, thought it might be a good idea to show you my moveset. I don't have anything with Metronome, though, sorry ^_^;
