Okay, I've heard in different sources that you can't clone, however, other players say that they have cloned.

As this could influence if I buy Crtstal or not, can you please answer if you can clone or not?

The basis of whether or you not buy a game heavily depends on the ability, or lack thereof, to cheat?

I don't think you can...I've been trying to dupe my Masterballs with a Caterpie for a while now, and I still can't do it. Damn Nintendo, taking out all the good stuff...

Yeah, kind of... as I don't have another person to trade with, or a gameshark, I rely heavily on this method to get, say a Snorlax and Arcanine with Curse.

And also it can help me to get different Dratini's with Extreme-Speed .

So in conclusion, yeah, it kind of is.

Um, exploitable bugs are good stuff, but unexploitable ones aren't? I'd prefer to play the game the way it was intended to be played. I can just imagine someone going to Nintendo and saying "Hey, I don't like it that you took an accidental programming error out of your game to keep people from cheating!" I mean, that's like getting upset that they installed an automatic speed detector camera on the road because now you can't drive as fast as you used to.

Exploitable bugs are good! Think about it. When you fight a team of Stadium 1 for RBY (before breeding came into play) and an entire team knew the same TM like Toxic? Do you think the AI player played the game 6 times? No, Nintendo just made their Pokémon like that, so can we via MissingNo. If a glitch is available, to an extent we should exploit it.

I can't get it to work on Crystal in an emulator. Oh well, trading to G/S isn't much trouble...
