For the curious, that Celebi's Hidden Power would be:
Ice Type, Power 31

Nya~

Additionally, I'm pretty sure that Six Flags Celebi have random genes. The English Mews have the same genes as the Japanese Mews. The Japanese Celebi from Space World (same place as the aforementioned Mews) have random genes.

Thanks for the info of the Celebi. I'd also like to know what the Trainer Name and ID#s are for the one's who win the 251 giveaway thru Nintendo. If anyone finds that one, please post it too, thanks.

Sorry this is slightly unrelated but, do all official Mews not have the exact same DVs?

All official Mews, whether gotten in Japanese or English, have the same genes. No matter what.

It goes along with the storyline that they're so rare...that there's only one left in existence. That's why everyone gets a copy (clone?) of the exact same Mew, just with a different OT Name and ID Number.

Does anyone know what the DVs are for official Mews? I've been looking but I can't find the info.

I just got back from my hellish trip to Atlanta. My 5 Celebis all have the OT name of: FLAGSB.

This suggests that the OT name is dependant on at which Six Flags--or more precisely, from which machine was used at which Six Flags-- the Celebi was obtained. Which is to say that the base OT name would be FLAGS_, with an A, B, C, D, E, or whatever (I suppose it depends on the number of Celebi machines out there), going in the last space.

I'm sending one of my five off to Continue so he can check the DVs.

Oh, by the way, the ID Number was 00074.

Mine is also FLAGSB (the Atlanta machine).

Well, I got more than one, but I haven't checked any besides the first.

One is:
4DE3

Random genes make a big difference: it means a max statter is technically not cheating (while anything except the official Mews are cheating: a Max stat mew doesn't officially exist, nor a shiny one.)

Good to know.

Anyone know how many machines there are? We have B and E confirmed, so presumabsy there are at least five...

The OT numbers are so low because they are, I believe, given away in increasing order, so many will have the same OT number, but, presumably, have different OTs (mine were close to 200).

Interesting.

I finally checked my five, and all of them have obviously different DVs, as others have observed...At very least, it must be semi-random, and probably purely random.

I completely agree with the OT number ratcheting up...I only wonder how fast it increases--surely not after every transfer (after every ten? every twenty?)...Hmmm, I've I have to check my five.

How many machines are there per stop? How many stops are there? A is for the first machine, B for the second, etc. The only problem with sharking a legal Celebi would be the ID number. How many ID numbers are there? (Hehehe, in my area, my friends don't know about Nintendo tours. I just use my ID number and OT name. )

I think I watched one increment every single time. I'll check when I get home to be sure, but I think it does. The question is when it resets, if ever. I mean, it isn't as if the Celebi thing was as popular as the Mew thing...

For those of you who still care the OT for the celebi I got today was FLAGSD (the Chicago Machine) and the ID#s of my pokes were in the 600s, and like cfalcon said the OT# went up by one each time a celebi was downloaded onto a cart. And mewone, there was only one machine at the Chicago stop.

Tell me, how do the machines work? If anyone could take a pic of one and upload it I'd really like that.

Like, does the Nintendo Rep run the machine or is it self service? And how do you get more than one Celebi? Just get back in line?

Thanks,
-MK who can't go all the way to Houston for a fricken legal Celebi.

The machine is simple. Your Pokémon Game Pack is put in like going into a Gameboy or a Transfer Pack, then it transfers the data to your game exactly like Pokémon Stadium does when you use the PC and move a Pokémon onto your game, really.

Or, were you asking something else and I misunderstood, MK?

Just FYI, people...I worked (a lot) on the best of my five Celebis, and I came with the following values at level 100:

HP: 403
Attack: 298
Defense: 278
Speed: 298
Special: 290

Not bad at all for the first Celebi I got. I also find it mildly amusing that my OT# for this critter is 00486.

00486, eh? *doesn't get it*

I assume the Celebi's in England will be UK as the name. I'm going to Toys 'R' Us at the weekend in Leeds, near my grandparents, so I can get a few, and find out about them.

The 486 was an old computer processor. It was the predecessor to the Pentium, and followed the 86, 286, and (surprise) 386. That's why some system requirements say something like "x86 processor".

This is interesting. It seems they were trying to make Celebi unforgeable, but as long as you don't forge too high of a trainer number and they don't see anyone else with the same number, you can easily get away with it at a tourney.

Did they give you a Certificate when you got your Celebi? When I got my Mew from a Nintendo Mall Tour they gave me a Certificate of Authencity with it's ID# on it, which is nice to have to prove to jerks, hey, it's legal! Did Six Flags give anything like that out?

Thanks,
-MK

Nope, no certificate, no nada.

Plus, the Celebi machine apparently randomizes stats (it might be delivering just a certain number of preset DV sets, but most everyone seems to be reporting random DVs so far) and steps up the OT ID by 1 every time it operates (on any one particular day--it seems to reset every morning).

So a legal Celebi probably could have ANY stats and ceratinly could have any OT number below--I dunno--00500? 02000?

What is clear is that aside from the OT name and the limited range of OT numbers, there are no other obvious ways to certify a legal Celebi.

Ooh, they're sneaky gits, aren't they? Well, just shark one to have DVs close to the official ones and get the right trainer name, and no-one will know.
