Under normal conditions, Ho-oh can survive a non-CH Ancientpower from Tyranitar.

I'm not suprised. Ho-oh is strong, beatable, but strong. Like, it can take atleast 2-3 (I think 3) thunderbolts from one of my best Pokémon (level 100) to take out a Ho-oh.

Well, I know from personal experience in Stadium 2 R-2 that Jolteon takes 3 Thunderbolts to defeat Ho-oh and (runs to check the numbers) Zapdos does as well (although Zappy CAN 2HKO Ho-oh with Thunderbolt if both are very close to max damage).

Wow, I never knew that. I guess that's another reason why these guys are considered cheap.

But if you give Tyranitar a Hard Stone, you get a 54.5% chance to OHKO it with Ancientpower. Or you could just use Rock Slide, but I don't.

A Rhydon with an Attack DV of 11 or less stands a chance (albeit a really tiny one) of not OHKOing Houou. With ROCK SLIDE. This is sick. You don't get much better than Rhydon...

(On a semi-related note, I'd take Rhydon over Tyranitar. I like STAB on Earthquake and Counter. And the really sick variant that you team up with a BP Scizor, with Reversal...)

Yeah, does the fact that Rhydon's types are Rock/Ground make any difference? Not to mention how Counter utilizes his 4x weaknesses to Grass and Water and his extremely sucky Special Defense.

Please explain to me how Counter gains STAB.

You meant Rock Slide, didn't you?

I think he meant that he liked getting STAB on Earthquake, plus being able to use counter.. not STAB on both.

I like STAB on Earthquake *PAUSE* and Counter.
~Uiru- you people should be rating my team, if you're that picky.
