What the hell does mist do?

It prevents stat reduction:

BLAH used MIST!
Enemy ELECTRODE used SCREECH!
But it failed!

Or something like that. Those moves won't affect you. Also, with moves like Aurora Beam, the Attack-lowering effect cannot occur if you're "shrouded in mist".

it only prevents stat reductions from ENEMY attacks, tho. if you use curse, your speed still drops.
