I think slash may be a whole lot better. Now, I don't know if this applies for all critical hits (I won't make that assumption), but it sure does for slash.

I was training up my Muk to level 50 the other day (he's still a baby), and I was in the standard level 40-50 area, just outside Silver cave. Every time I came across an Ursaring, I'd Acid Armor up to max, wait for leftovers to heal me, and then just beat him to death. However, I noticed this:

Even when acid armored to the max (defense 400+ at level 50), slash still deals @70-80 damage with a critical.

This is the same damage it dealt normally, which leads me to believe that slash ignores defensive modifiers when it criticals. If it ignores defense and takes offense into account, then it is a deadly move indeed.

At least in Chromatics and Chromatic Stadium it ignores offensive and defensive boosters and just deals double damage...

Though you were discussing G/S/C?
