If you use Sunny Day in the night time, does it help Synthesis?

I believe that it still does still boost the recovery to 100%

I'm not sure about Morning Sun though

It's interesting though, because in the game it says it's dependent on time...

Yes. Morning Sun, Synthesis, and Moonlight all have their healing power doubled by Sunny day and cut in half for Rain Dance.

This thing causes so much confusion. *blames NOA for it*

It does double the effectiveness of Moonlight, because the original name for Sunny Day was Clear Skies (which is a WAY cooler name, btw). Clear skies -> no clouds -> more moonlight.

Then again, the original name for Moonlight was Lucky Light...

IIRC, the attack's original name is "Nihon Bare". Which is translated as "Clear Japanese Weather". Still, "hare" and not "bare" means clear weather. *shrugs*

The attack's original name is "Tsuki no Hikari". This is where things get interesting. IIRC, the word "Tsuki" in the game is written in katakana instead of hiregana, indicating that it translates into "lucky". Tsuki in hiregana is "moon". Also, in Stadium 2, when Moonlight is used, the moon is shown. IMHO, it's a pun which couldn't be translated by NoA.
