When using either attack, the Opponent's Defense is halved so that they do much more damage.

If the opponent survives the damage, will its Defense remain halved?

are we absolutely sure it's halved? i've just tested both selfdestruct and explosion, and in both instances i can plug TRIPLE the power of the attack in the battle damage formula and get accurate results. i'm thinking these attacks do a lot more damage than people think.

so, when using the standard battle damage formula, without halving/doubling any stats, i get these powers:
explosion - 750
selfdestruct - 600

anyone else care to try?
