I know this has been answered time and time again, but I need to know some things. If you have a link to this info, that'd be great too.

I need to know the formula for finding max stats from the base stats. I also need to know whether it's changed any from RBY to G/S.

I also need to know whether the basic damage formula has changed any from RBY to G/S.

I need to know exactly when item bonuses are applied; is it before STAB, after STAB, after powerups, ???

I need to know exactly how CHes work in G/S, especially how they react with stat builders / stat weakeners such as swords dance or screech.

Thanks for answering these. I already checked the old topics and they didn't have any of this stuff, so don't flame me too badly eh?

I may add some more to this later...

Thanks for clearing it up.

The damage formula has NOT changed:

http://www.poccil.f2s.com/games/gs/guides/damage.html*

In GS, in a critical hit, damage done is twice the calculated damage.

Item bonuses increase the base damage of an attack if it's the correct type.

* I haven't included all types in my damage calculators yet.

The formula for max stats is:

ƒ Domestic Maximum Stat = (Level × (Base Stat + DV + 31,99999) ÷ 50) + 5

ƒ Domestic Maximum HP = (Level × (Base HP + DV + 50 + 31,99999) ÷ 50) + 10

I presume it's the same in GS as RBY.

The damage formula is exactly the same between versions. The "difference" is that Poccilgarism uses the reverse-engineered-by-Azure formula on the Chromatics page, and the real formula on the Metallics page.
