Why do people attach kings rock to starmie? I thought only certain moves make pokemon flinch and last time i checked surf doesn't make people flinch? I think bright powder is a better choice

Um...King's Rock encourages flinching in anything without a secondary effect (Ice Beam freezes; Psychic lowers SpD; etc.). Surf has no secondary effect. Thus, use.

In my opinion your better off with Miracle berry or Leftovers.

Especially for the fat most opponents will paralyze a Starmie first chance they get.

Does Kings Rock work on like Body Slam for instance, because I thought that it made all moves have the ability to flinch, even if they already had a side effect.

crazefire, that's why Starmie Confuses them, then paralyzes so that it may avoid paralyzation(oooh, big word^_^) but I do feel that if the Death Starmie is going to be your starter then Miracle Berry should replace Kings Rock.

::coughs:: Body Slam paralyzes. That's called a "secondary effect." Which nullifies any flinching by King's Rock. Nya.
