Is the special DV of the baby inherited directly from the parent (ditto)? According to information, I read before, it isn't because it is a sum of 7 and a random DV. However, my own results have been different. I have been breeding Magikarps because they hatch quickly, and they all have the special DV of 11. 11 is also the DV for Ditto's special. I'm really confused right now, so please HELP!

Brayze says, according to his own breeding results, the Special DV is either your Ditto's DV or the DV cut in half(rounded down). So, breed more Magikarp. If you get any with a DV of 5, this would support his theory.
