Hi, quick question regarding pokemon who evolve when traded if they have a particular item equipped. Is the item used up when the pokemon evolves or will they still have it after evolving? I was hoping that items like the king's rock and metal coat are re-usable. I only have one gameboy so I can't test this out myself. Thanks.

When I traded my Scyther with metal coat, metal coat disappeared when it evolved into Scizor. I've been trying to steal another metal coat from a magnemite ever since.
