Crit Hits are based entirely on base Speed in RBY. We have no reason to suspect otherwise with regards to Stadium, as well.

I don't know where magmar's getting his info...

Did it occur to you that he is posting something without any data at all to back him up? Not to mention not explaining it very well?

I really doubt it's changed in Stadium.
Besides, your data may be corrupted because so many of the high-speed Pokémon are also high-special, too.

Don't be so hard on him until you find out what his theory is based on, there are most likely people who dismiss everything on AH as 'Crackpot' because you don't post every single battle, statistic, and result (Yay Porygon thinks that way about all of my theories)

I didn't say Electric, I said Electronic. As in electronic devices. Like computers. Which is what Porygon (and Porygon2) was programmed on. Also, at the time, I hadn't seen a Porygon2 for a while, and I thought it looked more like a dog than a duck, which is apparently what it was intended to be.

Edit: And all things that begin with E these days mean Electronic. Like Email.

Okay, here it is: Magmar5 is an idiot, plain and simple. AH has conducted research to such an extent that error is out of the question.
The only thing changed in Stadium is Focus Energy working. They just fixed errors in Stadium, like HyperBeam not recharging after you kill someone with it.

You have to understand that personal experience means nothing compared to research. When I first had the game (before I knew of AH), a Snorlax became stronger and stronger while using Amnesia... while using Normal attacks. This is a phenomenon now known as 'stat bleeding'. Research has backed it up. What I thought it was was attacks being based on part Special, part Strength. That was a theory I had, not something I believed. Just 'cause I found it I didn't go around the place proclaiming things which may be true.
