I was curious, has anyone figured out a way to get pokemon altered by a gameshark to play on Pokemon Stadium? Even pokemon only slightly altered to their Max Stats (not 999 of everything). Thanx! :-)

There is no work to it at all. Despite what Nintendo claims, Stadium has no idea whether a Gameshark has been used, other than marking illegal moves in red text. Just plug your cart in the transfer pack, and everything will work fine.

Actually, if you simply up your pokemon's Stats, the Pokemon Stadium WILL notice and you'll only be able to use the your pokemon prior to your G/S alteration. I think this is because the Stadium calculates your Stat experience and then determines what the rest of the stats should be. But I've just figured out how to get pass that by altering the Pokemon's genes with the game shark! Of course, normally I don't like using these types of the cheats, so I've only done this to a few pokemon that I made mistakes in raising.

(When I first learned about the Missing No. trick I went a little rare candy crazy and didn't realize that you shouldn't use too much rare candy when raising a pokemon because that will weaken their stats though employing the box trick helped make up for some of this).

Yea, you basically need to max out the pokémons stat EXP, EXP, and genes to have a perfect, legal monster, and the shark is more than willing to do that...

A bunch of crap in Sakaki Tower details this, if you didn't just go and figure it all out for yourself...

I bet a seach for "max stats" would find them...

Actually, a properly boxed monster after rare candies is just as strong as it would be if you raised it manually, as rare candies can be used to max EXP, and the box trick (or a gameshark) can be used to max stat EXP. All that method doesn't deliver is perfect genes, for which you need either a lot of luck and patience, or a shark.

Yeah, I referring to altering your stat exp and genes when I said that Stadium can't tell.

If you directly up your stats, will Statium indicate that you're cheating like it does with illegal attacks, or knock the stats down to what they should be, or disallow the Pokemon from competing?

If you directly up your stats, I think Stadium calculates genes and stat exp and reverts the stats back to what they should be. It won't affect your GB though. The Pokemon on your cart will still have upped stats.

My replayed (sharked) Pikachu did Guillitine and Psychic this morning, and despite the fact the moves where written in purple, they worked.

I haven't tried anything to do with Stats though.
